Update: Cerebrum has reached out to me and promised a full refund. All of the transactions added up over the past year that they took from my account without permission totals $764.49. I’m please that they responded so promptly, and now let’s see if they keep their promise.
I completed their test in February 2025, payed a $.99 one time fee for the results, and I have just checked my online banking for my past year saying i’ve been charged $14.99 weekly for a subscription that I never signed up for and was not aware of. I put in my card info for the one time $.99 transaction and nothing else, there’s claims with evidence all over the internet of this company doing the same and using deceptive tactics in a order to charge people an obscene amount of money over long periods of time without the buyer being aware of the transactions. I’ve tried emailing their contact on their website only to get automated messages back. This is my final attempt of getting a refund for every weekly transaction for the past year aside from the initial $.99 transaction and making things right before I go through my bank to get a chargeback. I’ve already contacted them and they’re absolutely astounded by cerebrum iq’s deceptive tactics.
Edit: The company has publicly stated on Trustpilot that a refund has been approved and will be processed shortly. I will update this review once the refund has been received.
I have identified multiple recurring charges of £39.99 on my credit card statement since late October 2024, following what I understood to be a 4-week subscription. I am still calculating the exact number of charges because my bank does not allow me to search transactions, so I have to scroll month by month.
The website does not provide clear visibility of transaction history, and locating the cancellation portal was not straightforward.
I am awaiting confirmation that the full refund for charges taken beyond the initial 4-week period has been processed.
I signed up for a 4-week subscription advertised at $39.99 in total (initially less than USD). My confirmation email refers to a “4 weeks billing cycle” and a total cost for 4 weeks.
It does not clearly state that the subscription will automatically renew and continue charging monthly.
Despite this, my card was charged repeatedly beyond the initial period.
When I contacted support requesting a refund for the post-4-week charges, this was declined.
If this is intended to be an ongoing recurring subscription, that should be explicitly and prominently disclosed at purchase and in confirmation communications.

This company stole my last 30$ for a subscription I didn’t sign up for. I paid for a report for 50 cents and immediately cancelled my subscription. I even locked my debit card. Today I got charged 30$. This is unacceptable and this company steals even when you cancel their subscription.
I’ve been scammed by this company since July 2025 for a total of 194,87$ for something I never subscribed for and was for sure hidden when I blindly took a test targeting me on Instagram.
I am demanding a refund and I receive automatic response of my emails after few seconds showing there’s absolutely no real costumer service behind this scam.
This is a thieving scam. I signed up to nothing and just paid 2 x 50p's for tests. These rouges then took 3 monthly payments from my bank account without any authorisation. The contact points and customer care are only automated responses. You get nowhere. No uk address or phone number. Beware.
I took a brief IQ test in June and didn't think much of it until I checked my credit card statements months later while traveling. I discovered that I had been charged $14.99 every week for six months! At no point was it disclosed that I would be billed weekly. When I requested a refund, I was informed that "Our fees are non-refundable." It's evident that this is their method of generating income.
I am writing to request an immediate refund for an unauthorized charge of $44.99. This service employs misleading practices to lure users into a costly subscription after a simple IQ test. I did not agree to a recurring $44.99 charge. This is a predatory billing approach, and I have already contacted my bank to report this transaction as fraudulent/unauthorized. I demand that the company: 1. Refund the $44.99 immediately. 2. Cancel all future billing. 3. Provide confirmation of this cancellation here or via email. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forwarding my documentation to the relevant authorities.
I took a test that was advertised for ninety nine cents but ended up being charged twenty nine dollars and ninety nine cents monthly for a subscription that I did not authorize. The company refuses to issue a refund. This situation is incredibly frustrating, especially as an elderly individual who is now struggling to afford my medication due to this issue.

After taking the initial IQ test, I never returned to the app. I strongly advise against engaging with this company, even just to take the IQ test, as they will keep charging your card even after you stop using the service.
This platform requires scrutiny. I registered for a trial period and was unexpectedly charged $104. The trial lasts for 7 days, and I canceled within that timeframe. Despite canceling before the subscription began, I received an automated email stating that refunds are not available. This feels like a scam.
