Our family was very disappointed. Extremely overpriced and virtually nothing to see. Most of the enclosures were vacant. According to the information provided, there are supposed to be over 30,000 animals, yet we only spotted about 5 during our visit. It's puzzling how we missed the remaining 29,995. We do not recommend this.
Our family was deeply disappointed. The prices were exorbitant, and there was hardly anything to see. Most enclosures were bare. The website claims there are over 30,000 animals, yet we only spotted around 5. It's as if the other 29,995 were invisible. Definitely not recommended.
I visited today with my family, including my mother, sister, and two-year-old son. It was incredibly crowded, which I understand during the holidays, but the zoo should limit capacity since it hindered our ability to see any animals. People were smoking everywhere, despite designated areas. The lack of clear signage around the zoo was frustrating; painted lines for different zones would enhance the experience for kids. Food prices were steep, and there were no vegan options available early on. When we inquired about an annual membership on our way out, the staff member at the desk seemed uninterested in assisting us. Overall, we left feeling quite underwhelmed.
My granddaughter and I enjoyed the predator trail today. It was truly fantastic, and our guides were excellent. They provided us with an amazing experience, and we saw all the animals we hoped to, including snow leopards, jaguars, and tigers. Thank you; we will definitely return!
Just returned from the Snow Leopard breakfast and it was absolutely incredible! Our hosts were so welcoming and passionate. Our guide provided fascinating information about the snow leopards. We even watched the keeper feed the three beautiful snow leopards. The breakfast at the historic restaurant was also fantastic. Highly recommend!
We visited today, and while the tickets were cheaper than usual, it wasn't a great experience. We did see some amazing animals like a baby orangutan, rhinos, and giraffes, but the children were disappointed that many of their favorite animals were either absent or not visible. The cost of roasting marshmallows seemed excessive; a bag of large marshmallows costs £4 elsewhere, but they charged £2.80 for one. It was disheartening to see many animals alone, and hearing my child express disappointment about empty enclosures was frustrating.
It was my first visit to the zoo in decades, and I didn't know what to expect. While we didn't see lions or tigers, the experience was still enjoyable. A latte was £4.05, which felt fair. I noticed mixed prices in the shop, but we found some good £1 items. Contrary to other reviews, we found the staff friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Yes, it is pricey, particularly for families, but as an occasional treat, it was enjoyable.
We had an unpleasant experience upon entering what we thought was the guest information building. We overheard a very inappropriate conversation between two staff members. Additionally, other staff members were dismissive when we sought help. One individual treated us poorly, suggesting we hadn’t read the signage properly. Fortunately, we hadn’t purchased tickets yet, so we changed our plans.
