I paid for a virtual speed dating event that was canceled. When I tried to rebook, I was told that virtual dating was no longer available. I explained my situation, stressing that I chose virtual due to my severe back pain, but then they stopped responding. This is unacceptable. I’ve reached out multiple times, and it feels like a complete scam, especially as a disabled person who has lost money.
I attended two recent events where the venue was changed at the last minute. At the second event, it seemed they lacked enough participants, so we were mixed with other age groups, some attendees were nearly 20 years younger than me. The venue was noisy, and we were crammed in a row facing the busy bar, which drew unwanted attention from other patrons, making an awkward situation even more uncomfortable. As compensation, we received a free ticket to another event.
I went to a stand-up comedy show recently at a local venue, and it’s a great way to connect with others. It’s different from the typical speed dating and far more entertaining—until you get picked to go up on stage, that is! I’ve also participated in speed dating events, and I find the gender ratio to be ideal, but the venue changed both times I attended, which confused me a bit. However, the changes were communicated well, and the nights I attended did lead to matches. I would recommend this service as a fun way to meet potential dates.
A wonderful evening with great hosts and a friendly crowd. The events are very professionally organized and well-attended, plus drinks are super affordable (2.50 for a glass of wine!)! I’ve attended both a lock and key party and a comedy night—both were excellent, and I met numerous wonderful people. I will definitely return!

It was efficient to have the Gay Speed Dating at the same venue, creating a relaxed atmosphere since other attendees were there for similar reasons. However, I had signed up for this event six weeks prior, and it was canceled multiple times without an option for a refund. The only choice was to switch to another event. For the lesbian clientele, there are limited options to reschedule. UK consumer laws require the company to offer a refund option for canceled events, regardless of their terms and conditions. I suggest they revise their practices to include refund options when events are canceled.

The venue was well-prepared with considerable effort put into the setup. You definitely felt like it was a secure experience with many attendees in the same situation as you. The staff were friendly, and I met a lot of like-minded individuals.
I attended a rooftop singles party at a venue in St Paul’s hosted by a company, and it was truly a wonderful evening. The event was managed excellently! Well-organized, friendly, and kept the atmosphere enjoyable and relaxed. The venue was beautiful, the bar staff were pleasant, and the entire place had a great vibe. The crowd was a lovely mix of individuals, everyone was open and friendly, there to have a good time. Although I didn’t meet my dream partner this time, the atmosphere was so positive that I’d definitely return and bring my single friends. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a fun, laid-back way to meet new people.
