This is a scam! If you add a card to a payment system, a unique virtual card number is created. If a fraudulent company gets your card validated, they only have that specific virtual number. Removing the card from the payment system immediately invalidates it. Adding it again creates a new number, blocking any future unauthorized charges. Be cautious if you interact with the same fraudulent entity again.
This deceptive operation has a QR code at a popular gallery, supposedly for more information about the artwork; however, it subscribes you to their monthly service without consent. I've reported this to the gallery, yet they continue to pursue me for payment. Their support line is unresponsive.
While purchasing school photos through a legitimate link, I mistakenly confirmed a payment for this service instead. I received an email about a free trial followed by a monthly charge. I immediately contacted them to cancel, along with the photo company and my bank. If you use a payment system, you can block charges after they occur, but canceling the card prevents further issues.
