Update: So it's be almost 2 wks now & I am still to receive my refund of AUD $39:99 from Clarity check...I emailed them several times now & I do get a response saying that the money was deposited into my account but that was a wk ago they told me that & still no refund!!I never subscribed to there subscription for a year they just took it upon themselves to help themselves to my money...Shame on you clarity check!! I am not the only person they have done this to just look at the reviews however I believe some reviews are fake... People please be careful..
Have just discovered that £120.96 has been taken out of my bank account in two initial payments of 50p last November 23 and four monthly instalments of £29.99 since. I have never knowingly subscribed to this service in any way. It's possible I once used its website to see who tried to phone me, but have never agreed to pay a penny. My bank has been first-class when dealing with matters like this in the past, and I will be contacting their fraud section tomorrow (Monday) morning. PS. My phone record shows that I received no calls from an unknown number on November 22 or 23. There was nothing for me to look up on Claritycheck!
This is scam website.. just like thousands other victim.. the charged me $29,99 from my card because i was using their one time search for $0,5 a week ago..
the result was rubbish, it's only their trick to steal our money..
THEY STOLE MY MONEY, WITHOUT CONSENT. ITS A SCAM
AT FACE VALUE IT CHARGED 50 P FOR A QUICK SCAN..
AND THEN SUBTRACTED £30 A FEW DAYS LATER RANDOMLY..
THEY GAVE ME A SUBSCRIPTION WITHOUT CONSENT
I never subscribed for the£ 29.99 to be taken from my account. How do I stop this because apparently my bank declined this transaction.even the£ 6.99, that left my account I never authorised it
I kept seeing an ad on Instagram about a website that claims it can find a lot of information about a person using only their phone number and email address. I created an account and entered the details, and then they asked for a €1 fee to view the information. I thought that €1 was a fair price and decided to pay it. What these people do to trick you is hide a paragraph in the terms and conditions you agree to when making the payment. It states that by paying the €1, you are automatically subscribed to their €30 per month membership. However, they do not clearly inform you about this anywhere. If you don’t cancel the subscription, they will continue charging you €30 every month until you do. I only realized what had happened after the money had already been taken from my account. When I tried to look into getting a refund, I quickly discovered that the people behind the site have put strong barriers in place to prevent chargebacks or refunds, making it extremely difficult to recover your money. In short, the website is a carefully designed scam. The owners rely on misleading tactics and hidden subscription terms to generate income, knowing that most people would never willingly sign up for a €30 monthly plan. Instead, they quietly enroll users automatically and hope they won’t notice the recurring charges.
Was rolled onto a 29.99 subscription without a clue. Do not recommend for anyone doing a one off search that will rarely get you what you're looking for. Massively dissapointed.
I paid for a £0.99 one time search and it returned with no results. Suddenly a month later I get charged £30 out of my savings for a subscription I never signed up to. There was no clear indication of a subscription and this is a scam. I am asking for a refund and am extremely distressed.
Paid $1 for a check at one point, useless, had no information. And since then, they've attempted to charge me $40 twice. I've logged in and nowhere does it say there's a subscription. Dodgy.
Just an absolutely awful experience. £30 as a random charge out of nowhere? the awe of this company is ridiculous, why would your service ever be worth £30??? NEVER BUY, BUNCH OF SCAMMERS!
