Being …of an age, I don’t really do social media, but I’m glad to do it for Clarke & Roskrow occasionally.
I’m going to refer back to some comments I made 7 years ago because they are still relevant. I have carefully checked what I said then, and it still applies, so I’ll recycle it. As I said then, “Clarke and Roskrow are something totally different from the usual experience when visiting opticians. In a different class entirely from the usual suspects on the High Street.”
My most recent experience was that you, as the client, are still made to feel genuinely welcome. The quality of customer care and attention to detail is still there. The eye exam with Mr Clarke was just the same – outstanding, and frankly, just what you get used to here. I got good guidance on specs choice from Bhav, which was BEVEL. I’m told that I’m still a ‘style icon’ for Clarke & Roskrow when I’m out and about.
High Street opticians? I assure you that C&R are definitely nothing like them.
Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Anthony conducts in depth eye examinations, to a fine degree and the front of house staff are wonderful. I would have no hesitation in recommending R&C, particularly if someone has complicated eye requirements.
I’ve worn glasses most of my life and in recent years I have just settled for ones that were “good enough.” I now realise how much I have been missing. It seems mad now to be parsimonious about something I wear on my face every single day.Firstly the care and attention from Anthony during the very thorough eye examination was immensely reassuring, I appreciated not being rushed.It was great choosing frames with Bhav, I felt like a kid in a sweet shop, he was brilliant and I had so much fun.What I didn’t expect was the subtle improvement in vision, these varifocals are like driving a Porsch instead of a Ka.The two pairs I bought spark joy daily: because they are fabulous, comfortable and effective. And yes, of course I will be back.
I have received excellent help and advice from Anthony and his team over the last ten years, and having suffered with sore eyes for several years, I was intrigued when Anthony introduced his EyeRevive treatment. I completed the online questionnaire, and was then given a very comprehensive initial examination by Anthony. He then explained the results in detail, and recommended a combination of treatments. Cautiously hopeful that this might bring a degree of relief to my sore eyes, I decided to proceed.To say that the results exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. The soreness was noticeably reduced the day following my first session with Anthony, and continued to improve over the following weeks. I have to say that the improvement has been remarkable.
Another fabulous visit to this wonderful independent opticians. It's literally like having a day out! Nothing rushed. A thorough eye test and examination followed by a brilliant service to choose new glasses with plenty of cups of tea! Thanks a million Anthony and Bhav.

I have had another great experience with Clarke and Roskrow. The optician did a very good examination and has my records so they can see if there is any changes over time. The dispensing optician vas also very good spending the time to make sure my new glasses would be the best they could be and made to fit me and my lifestyle.I wholeheartedly recommend Clarke and Roskrow
