I've never had a cleaner before, so wasn't sure what to expect. We are looking to sell our house and wanted to have a good clean of the place ready for it to go on the market. This might be more of my expectations of what a deep clean is, but honestly it was more of what I would call a regular clean of the house. Even then, I would only rate it as an ok regular clean. I was expecting detailing of each room, but the reality was it was the sort of clean I do myself with a few areas you sometimes miss, like skirting boards, dusting of high to reach places.Even then they missed things like ceiling lamp shades, shower curtain pole, no mopping of my kitchen floor, bathroom floor, or downstairs laminate flooring. Honestly whilst these hard floors do need vacuuming or dusting, they really need to be mopped as well. We’ve only got carpet in 1/3 of the house. They told me on the phone they normally just vacuumed, but I asked if they could be mopped, which was noted and they just said you have to pay extra anything that takes longer than the 6 hours. Which was fine, but turned out there was little chance of them going over. They seemed to rush out the door after 4.5 hours, which with set up, etc, means they only cleaned for about 4 hours. With 5-6 hours being most of but not all of the day, I suspect they had another afternoon appointment to get to, which is why it felt rushed and was closer to 4 hours.I asked them to focus on the bathroom, kitchen, all the windows, and the bookcases in the living room. They started upstairs as we were working downstairs at the time.I’m not sure if they cleaned all the windows in the end as some looked better than others, but all the windows, mirrors, and tap fixtures were left with streaks on them. The window sill in the smallest bedroom had lots of black dirt on it so this one seemed to have been missed completely. I suspect deep cleans are more targeted at rental properties after and before tenants where they are empty properties. This being the house we live in all our stuff was in the house. I noticed they weren’t moving things but just cleaning around, as such when it came to the downstairs bookcase, I took everything off myself so they could wipe the shelves down, and I dusted the items as I put them back. The fact they just cleaned around things meant even the vacuuming missed areas, they certainly didn’t move tables and sofas to get behind or under them.I kind of knew halfway through it wasn’t going to be as good as I originally expected, just from what I could see them doing and how quickly they were getting through the rooms. I’ve had oven cleans take longer, than the whole deep clean. Even though it wasn’t as good as I expected I still thought at the time it was an ok job, but the more time has passed, the more I’ve noticed missed or forgotten area. For example, we had the outside of the windows cleaned the day after which really showed the poor job done on the inside.I originally picked them based on them appearing to be the best in the area, at least from the Google reviews. Price wise, they were much cheaper than what google was suggesting a deep clean to be, so maybe this is a case of you pay for what you get. Whilst you really want it done right first time, I could have probably reported the issues for them to resolve, but it would just be the same people and quality, so I opted to just be done with it. By the end of the 4 hours, I was just happy for them to leave and just put it down to something I wouldn’t have done again. In future I just do it myself.
We were moving into a new property in Solihull and booked Cleaning Whizz to do a deep clean of the house before we were due to move in. After calling around for a few quotes, we chose Cleaning Whizz as it had a slight advantage in price. I was very clear that we needed a deep clean including carpets, as the house was already in great condition but we just wanted a clean to reset/refresh areas not normally cleaned by the average person. We were promised a 'top-to-bottom, inside-and-out clean'. However, the reality of what we received was certainly not that. After the cleaners had left, we noticed a mess of liquid left on the hard flooring. Keep in mind, the property was 2 hours away from where we were living in London, so we had arranged to be at the property specifically for the cleaning. I called them to report this issue - they were not able to address the same day, but offered to come on a different day for a re-clean. We had not moved in yet, so didn't have proper materials to address the mess ourselves - we had to mop up the mess they left using whatever we could find.A couple of days later we finally moved into the property, and at that point in time I noticed all the elements that they had failed to clean during their booking - areas either poorly done, or areas completely overlooked such that dust and debris were in plain sight! I took pictures of everything I saw immediately and reported it to their manager Areal, whom I had been in contact with via WhatsApp. Issues included: 1) Countertops and glass windows with visible smudges as if an unsuitable cleaning solution was used to wipe them down, 2) Tabletops not cleaned and therefore had dust and debris, 3) Inside of kitchen cupboards not cleaned, grease on the underside of the cupboard which was not cleaned, 4) Tops of cupboards in the kitchen and utility room not cleaned, 5) Countertop and window in the utility room had dust and debris, indicating they were not cleaned (important to note, we had to pay an additional cost for the utility room to be cleaned, but they failed to do these basic things)6) Mirrors and windows with smudges in the bedrooms, indicating they were wiped down either with incorrect cleaning solution or unsuitable type of cloth,7) Skirting and tops of doorways dusty and not cleaned,8) Dishwasher not cleaned - note that each appliance needing cleaning was costed up in the quote,9) Carpet flooring not deep cleaned, even though I specifically asked about this when inquiring for a quote. How does that constitute the 'top-to-bottom, inside-and-out clean' that we were sold in? These cleaners were not attentive to detail at all and missed elements that we were charged for.As we had to move ahead with unpacking into the house, we had to take to cleaning most of the issues ourselves before they could confirm a time for a re-clean, and I let the manager know this. Yesterday, 11 days after the initial clean, they sent a cleaner for a re-clean, but the person arrived ill-equipped and was not aware of what areas needed fixing, as if there was no communication internally. He did fix the windows and tops of cupboards, but there was no acknowledgement of the other areas I had reported as being overlooked during the first clean. Then he simply hoovered and left. To be frank, I would've expected them to do a re-mopping the floor after that mess of chemicals was left behind the first time!I feel scammed by the fact that they they took payment by bank transfer, charged us more on the day than the initial quote while outright neglecting to clean areas that were priced within our quote - and they did not provide an invoice. The lack of invoice is dodgy to me, especially as the service we hired to clean the flat we were leaving in London provided one. With the cash tip we gave the person who came for the re-clean, this service ended up costing over £300, thereby making it more expensive than the other services we had contacted for quotes. We received an unsatisfactory clean for what we paid, which left us frustrated and still pursuing a more professional company to do a proper deep clean. I am incredibly dissatisfied about the price we paid versus the clean we received - we were charged for elements that were outright neglected. I asked for a partial refund in my WhatsApp exchange with their manager, but it was not acknowledged. We are due a partial refund for the poor quality of service we received, as we were not provided the comprehensive deep clean that we were promised. I am willing to amend this review to give credit if Cleaning Whizz provides us the partial refund that we are owed for this botched cleaning experience.

Absolutely appalling. Very unprofessional, turned up late, started late, used dirty cloths as my windows have streak marks on them (this was after I asked to clean them twice, was told the marks were on the outside) never bothered to clean the doors and windowsills as promised. They just used over fragrant and cheap products to "clean" Honestly, wouldn't bother with them. Moving into a new house and asked for a tenancy clean and half the job was done, asked for £40 back as this was extra for "cleaning my blinds, which they never bothered with) rand was told I was making excuses and to send videos, which I did but got ignored. The "good reviews" are themselves pretending. Honestly, don't waste your money. I never write negative reviews in fear of jeopardising a business but this was ridiculous and has really angered me and will be taking it further! The staff are not qualified to do a clean!

This is an honest review. I booked Cleaning Whizz for a deep clean of my 93yo Mom who unfortunately is in hospital. I choose CW because of the reviews & website which stated they’d been in business for many years & only used professional cleaners. It was booked for 10am Saturday for 4/4.5 hrs for £325, they arrived 11.20am (flat tyre). I was a bit dubious as the manager Vishnu arrived with 2 young foreign lads who didn’t speak very good English and didn’t even acknowledge me. They didn’t look as professional as the photos of the cleaners on their website but I was assured they were good at their job. Was also surprised as told it would take 6/6.5 hours. I left but went back after 6pm thinking they must be about finished. I was absolutely shocked when I walked in and looked worse than when we left it! This is a small bungalow, small lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (only requested the bedroom carpets to be hoovered and steamed, no further tidying of these rooms). Over 6.5 hours and they hadnt even started steaming the bedroom carpets! The bathroom was poorly cleaned, shower filthy, sink not cleaned properly. Wardrobe mirror badly smeared. All windows were cleaned but badly smeared as was the lounge mirror and cabinet doors. Cobwebs remained. Furniture wasn’t moved and swept under. Thick dust on tv stand. Small tables dirty. Kitchen floor looked worse. Kitchen table not cleaned. I could go on. I’m not sure what they were doing for over 6.5hrs but an experienced cleaner could have done the whole bungalow in half the time & what they had done wasnt to a professional standard. I wouldn’t even say it was basic. I took photos that were sent to the manager. When he came back I was upset & said I wasn’t paying for such shoddy workmanship but he said he wasn’t going until I paid. I threatened to call the police as I felt quite intimidated. Vishnu offered a reduced rate or he could get another cleaner, Donna, to come & do the job properly. Apparently Donna is very experienced but as I pointed out, so should all of this cleaners! I accepted that & Donna will be coming back on Monday but it’s not acceptable when a cleaner has to clean up after the cleaners?! Shocking. The boys hoovered and mopped before leaving but very basically. Worse still, as there was upset and time wasting I wasn’t able to visit my mom in hospital. This deep clean was to relieve some stress but it only added to it and more inconvenience with the cleaner having to come back. Please do not reply with excuses as you know I’m being truthful. I will update this review when the job I’m paying for has been done properly. UPDATEAs above, Donna was booked for 10am to actually clean. She called me at 8.30am to say due to personal reasons she couldn’t make it until 1pm, which was fine. I went to my mom’s at 12.50 but she didn’t turn up. I rang numerous times with no answer & she finally rang me back at 2.15 to say she wouldn’t be coming that day but would come the following day. As this job was to be done before my mom was discharged from hospital I told her I wasn’t sure and would get back to her after I’d spoken to my sister. Whilst I had empathy for Donna’s circumstances, I was also fed up of the company by this time. I also was informed that my mom was being discharged the next day when we visited that afternoon so was too late to rebook Donna. I politely told her we wouldn’t be using Cleaning Whizz again & instead my sister & I spent a couple of hours cleaning as we had very little time. Donna said we still had to pay for the time the boys had done but I flat out refused because the cleaning was NOT done, not even to a basic standard, & we had to clean up after the cleaners! She said Vishnu, the manager, would be sending me an invoice, if that wasn’t paid he would add a late fee & if it still wasn’t paid then he would take me to the small claims court. I said that is fine, I’m not paying & would win in court with the photographic evidence I had of this company being far from the professional company it claimed to be. The next day, Tuesday, Vishnu started ringing me early but I didn’t answer. I had left the same review on Google. Donna also rang me. Eventually I picked up to be told that Vishnu isn’t seeking payment after all, they had seen the review and would I consider removing it? I said no! Vishnu continued ringing me & I eventually answered. He was on the phone for 10 minutes saying how the review was affecting his business, he has had a cancellation and no further bookings since. He begged me to remove it & offered me £100 if I removed it first! I said I’d remove it after he’d paid me but he wouldn’t so no doubt trying to scam me! Countless texts and phone calls which was harassment. Then they responded to my G review with blatant lies and excuses, making out I was awkward & a liar! Terrible unethical company. Makes me question how genuine the G reviews are..
