Frustrating to be asked to provide information that was already held by the Bank. There was a suggestion in the preamble that "My details" could be used but never saw this in the application process. Having just held a regular saver for 12 months and having had my currrent account for over 50 years, why am I trteated as though I am making my first application for an account to the Bank eg marketing preferences.
The advisors I spoke to were very sympathetic regarding the fraudulent activity, gave the best advice and enabled a refund promptly, whilst ensuring no further payments could be taken. They also advised to recheck my account within a day and report further unauthorised activity, if this had occurred.
I can only have appointments on certain days, the bank was very accommodating. At the appointment I was given all the information I needed, everything was made very clear. It is so helpful having face to face appointments.
It was simply so Simple. Not something I am good at,techno neanderthal...best way to put it " ugga ugga!" is another way....but yeah..managed it..no complaints..and for a skint techno bad neanderthal... Got to be worth a good review.
Always find customer service staff knowledgeable and helpful whether by phone or in person at a branch.

When I visited the Newport branch on November 2025 to close my deceased husband's account, the gentleman who dealt with my request was very efficient, and has shown me much empathy, kindness and compassion.
After struggling to establish a savings account online and via phone, I made another attempt and received outstanding assistance from a representative at the local branch of the bank. They were extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, and we successfully set up the account I needed.
The application process for the Regular Savings Account was mostly straightforward, but I encountered an issue when prompted to enter my existing bank account name "exactly as shown on your bank statement." I followed the instructions but was unable to proceed. It wasn't until I changed "&" to "and" that I could continue. This was frustrating and should be addressed!
