CollX is a solid platform for buying and selling trading cards, and it has a lot of potential. That said, sellers should proceed with caution.

From a seller’s perspective, there appears to be limited protection against bad-faith claims. The system understandably prioritizes the platform and the buyer, but the lack of transparency during disputes is concerning. Disputes are meant to reach a resolution, and while sellers are expected to accept the final outcome, both parties should be clearly informed of the reasoning behind any decision.

In situations where a buyer claims an item is counterfeit, the seller may be placed at a disadvantage. A buyer can submit photos or videos for review, and while CollX states that a staff member evaluates this material, sellers are often not provided with details of that review or the justification for the decision. In some cases, sellers only become aware of the outcome by closely monitoring the transaction themselves, rather than through direct communication.

Clearer communication, greater transparency in dispute resolutions, and stronger seller protections would go a long way toward building trust and confidence for those selling on the platform.

If you’re thinking of using CollX

If you’re thinking of using CollX, save yourself the trouble. This company has awful business practices and is completely unreliable, especially for sellers. The app’s scanning feature is wildly inconsistent and frustrating to use, often misidentifying items or failing to recognize them entirely. As a seller, avoid this platform at all costs — there’s absolutely no seller protection. If something goes wrong with a transaction, CollX won’t help you.I reached out to customer service regarding an issue, and I was appalled by how rude and unprofessional they were. A guy named Tim, who apparently works for their support team, has no business being in customer service. He was dismissive, condescending, and completely unwilling to resolve my issue. Honestly, he shouldn’t even have a job in this field.Overall, this company is a nightmare to deal with. Their lack of support, combined with faulty app functionality, makes it clear they only care about profit, not their users. Don’t waste your time or money here. There are much better platforms out there that actually value their customers.

Beware!!!

Beware!!!! I sold sports cards on collx. The buyer received the cards and was satisfied. However I never received payment. I contacted collx several times to tell them they had not deposited sale funds to my account to no avail. Beware of this site. Customer service is pretty much non-existent they send you random responses with no actions attached. it's been a month and I'm still not been paid. If I could use a zero score I would. I also received the $15 credit from collx due to the sale that I made, but could not spend the credit. Did not live up to my expectations by any means.

App doesn’t work customer service is nonexistent

I have the “pro” version and the only pro in the situation is they can proceed to charge me monthly whereas the program has not been working right. Now the last two days I can’t even get into the app. You contact customer service via email and they send the message to your app. I can’t get into the app so I can’t see the message. Don’t dare actually get a real customer service agent because they get rude when you ask a simple question. I have over 10k cards scanned & no access to them. Don’t bother with this useless app. It’s a scam.

Going on months now with outstanding…

Going on months now with outstanding refunds caused by inactives. Collx wasn't allowing the sellers to issue refunds, and then all the sudden are. Can't get refunds from inactives and Collx hasn't done anything about it. Stay away from this app most of the reviews are from their "Ambassadors" who will encourage scamming. I was an Ambassador at one point until I told them to remove me from that crap when I realized what was going on. Even that took a month or more. They have absolutely no care in the world about their customers and that is a huge problem. They just want your good cards and money, Collx has no care or concern how they get it. Allowing multiple accounts by select people is a huge red flag.

CollX is a joke

CollX is a joke. Signed up for pro and started using it, then suddenly could not get into PTO. That means I can’t access more than 500 cards. I downloaded well over thousand cards. I tried to contact them several times and they only responded once without ANY assistance. They have continued to charge the $10 monthly fee. I believe they were just stalling to collect more money before I cancelled their lack of service, service.

This technology isn’t readily available…

This technology isn’t readily available at this time. I have 30 unknown scans to one good scan. Pay for CollX services and have to get prices from eBay. CollX should contact Elon musk for help with facial recognition. And don’t even try to scan a shiny card. I’ve contacted CollX support with no luck and the problem only gets worse as if they make scanning even more difficult. I’ve scanned over 50,000 cards with CollX and have months of time invested in my collection. Any support they could give with their product would be greatly appreciated
