I was amazed at how much the one individual could do so much work! Actually, the primary worker did the heavy lifting while his competent adult son had been tasked with the job of sitting and watching over our belongings. At the end of our journey to the Oregon coast they had to navigate a difficult gravel road up to our house. Breakage was minimal. They definitely are thorough and deserve accolades!
When we went with this company we told them we had A LOT of stuff. We even put a down payment for a second truck. When the truck showed up the driver and crew were awesome!!!! But we ran out of space like we knew what was going to happen. Now we have no second truck, no driver, no crew. We are sitting here. They have no answers. They even moved my brothers house a month ago. He needed two trucks. His second truck is missing!!! They don’t have anyone to drive it to him and it’s been a MONTH. Who does that!!! All I can recommend is a lawyer.
We moved from Indiana to Alabama. Colonial was on time and did a great job. They handled our possessions with care. The experience overall was very good. I would use them again.

First off moving is extremely expensive! They can not guarantee a specific date or time . Even when given a four hour window to wait for the movers they call to tell you they are going to be late like hours late! You see colonial only considers the greed factor how many customers can we squeeze on a truck to make the most profit? They show NO customer consideration of your time. They only offer lip service if I’m sorry I understand. Moving is torture! We live in a society that has no sense of community, compassion, or ethics!
I was very impressed with the constant communication regarding my moves. When the movers came, the men were very courteous and handled my contents with caution and put the furniture wherever I asked. .i would definitely recommend this company.
We used Colonial Van lines for our move from Arizona to Tennessee. From start to finish we had a wonderful experience. The estimated amount was what we were charged. They picked up as planned and delivered our load on the date expected with no damages. Everyone we dealt with from the estimator to the driver and the loaders and unloaded were fabulous. We were very nervous after hearing from so many people horror stories about moving companies and we were so thankful to have had such an amazing experience. If we ever move again we will definitely use Colonial Van Lines
