I placed an order for a half-bushel of crabs to be shipped over night to the Florida Keys. The box arrived the next day around 1Pm. Upon opening the box you could tell that there was plenty of cold pack ice on the top and bottom of the box. Best job of packaging that i have had when ordering seafood from Md. Also the crabs where heavy and perfectly cooked.
I ordered 5lbs, was charged and invoiced for 5lbs of crabmeat. One pound arrived in a massive styrofoam container with five ice packs and enough bubble wrap to fill the rest of the container tightly. Tried calling, and the voicemail says to leave a message then immediately hangs up with no opportunity to leave a voicemail. (I tried leaving one several times, this kept happening.) I’ve emailed and await a solution.
I have been buying from one of your competitors for the last 20 years. Lately there crabs have not been so great very small and light. I order at least once a week and decided to give you a try. This is my second order and the crabs are true to size well seasoned and heavy. I found my new crab supplier will be ordering again this week.
Website was user friendly and placing an order was simple. Order arrived packed with cold packs for the long trip from Maryland to Minnesota. Got just what I ordered and cooked the live crabs right away and they were DELICIOUS. The frozen items have yet to be cooked, but I’m sure they’ll be great as well.
