I have ordered from another company - Alaskan Crab - and the crab was absolutely delicious but very pricey, so I decided to try crab dynasty. The crabs were huge, but most were partially empty with the meat not even filing half the length of the leg. The bodies portion at the top of the clusters were empty as well AND the meat was not very flavorful. Not sure where this batch was from. I read other reviews that claim similar so I guess the crabs are bought knowing the meat is inferior, maybe a downgraded product. Pro - the packaging was superb, better than the other company. I will go back to my other company and pay more and shipping but for a better eating experience!
I recently posted a one star review expressing issues with the size of the "whale" crabs I ordered as well as dissatisfaction with lack of response from customer support. I've been enjoying blue crabs since I was a child in Virginia eating crabs from the Potomac and the Bay. The crabs were wonderful, except for a few that were crushed and salty (normally meaning they were close to heading out on their way to Chesapeake Bay crab heaven) but overall the 2 dozen were well seasoned and heavy. I'll be ordering again, but I would recommend lightening the steaming a bit as most of the arms (Yes - since they are so expensive I actually eat the regular leg meat) were overcooked resulting in what I am fond of referring to as crab jerky :). I've been eating and cooking crabs most all of my life, but I appreciate the seasoning you use, and that you are very reasonable on shipping which is cheaper than most for shipping to Salt Lake City Utah. I'll definitely be ordering again!!!
