My brother and I enjoyed scalextric sets from the early seventies; they were a lot of fun. Over the years, I've purchased sets for my kids and now my grandkids. However, the current quality is quite disappointing. There's a high failure rate, and I won't even start on the app experience—it's just terrible! The product has really declined. It's understandable why so few retailers carry it now. It seems the company is stuck in a cycle of producing low-quality items in hopes of sales. I won't be buying any more track; the frustration of getting the cars to function isn't worth it. The leadership needs to recognize that they must enhance reliability or risk losing the brand altogether. It’s been enjoyable for over sixty years, so thank you for the memories, but it's time to move on. I hope for improvements, but I fear the brand may soon fade away. It's disappointing to see cost-cutting measures ruin something once great.

The service has been awful. It's been two weeks since I sent numerous emails, and still no reply. My delivery was left on the doorstep and stolen. I tried calling today, but the lines are only open until 1 PM. This has been a horrendous experience. I've encountered the worst customer service ever. After sending another five emails and receiving promises of resolution, my emails are being ignored again. I’ll have to contact my bank for a chargeback since it’s clear I won't get anywhere with this unacceptable company.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my son, but one car stopped working after just a week, and the other has followed suit. Don't waste your money on full-size sets. The cars are fine, but the track is of unbelievably poor quality, making it a waste of money. I ended up throwing mine away in frustration. I bought a different brand, and my son loves it... only to find out it’s made by the same company! Unbelievable!
The quality is low. It doesn’t work without constant adjustments. We've removed parts of the track that wouldn't supply power, yet the cars still stop. Now we have a tiny track, and the cars keep malfunctioning. Where's the fun in that? After hours of trying to set it up for my son’s birthday, he’s lost all interest. It's disappointing because I used to have a much better quality track. How can the company sell such low-quality products? If you're considering a set, don't bother unless you're okay with spending most of your time troubleshooting. Both my son and I are incredibly disappointed, and I wouldn't even feel right selling it—it's going straight to the bin.
