Extortionately priced MOT and service (over £400 for a small car compared to <£200 I’ve paid every other year, including at the dealership). When I questioned this, I was met with passive aggressive comments about how I’d ’clearly never had a full service before’ and I’d been conned before. To top it all off, as I drove away my engine light came on! Cowboys, won’t be returning.

Booked MOT test easily by email, as I am partly deaf, this is easier for me. MOT not the cheapest but for the sake of saving a couple of quid, I thought I stay local this time. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and courteous. My car passed, although they did do a couple of things to get the car through. This was not so much of a problem for me, but would have been nice to be asked first. I went back a few days later to get my front tyres replaced and will be returning to get my rear tyres done as well. In all, a very positive experience.
Last week I pranged the bonnet of my Ford Focus Mk2, and I nearly got away with just cosmetic damage but unfortunately on this model the bonnet only locks and unlocks at the front, and I'd broken that. There is like a plastic transmission from the keyhole to the lock mechanism inside, and if that shatters or snaps you have to get the whole front grille off before you can even see what repair it needs. Dave Chapman's mechanic (Gary iirc) completed all of that for me inside of 90 minutes, and additionally they saved me a three-figure sum of money and a ton more time by fitting an after-market lock they already had there in stock. So that was a proper, honest service in a country (and county) where that's getting rarer. Thanks to them I even made it to work on time. Would highly recommend
Took my car in to be repaired they had it all day no phone call like said they would to give me a price then carry out work if i agreed. I even rang them which they never answered, so I thought they were probably busy (how wrong I was) So I went down there in my other car & they all stood about in the office the receptionist looked like she was about to go clubbing, anyway one quiet speaking man who I couldn’t hear came to computer working out then how much it would cost after having it 8 hours even told me to go to scrap yard to get one bit, so needless to say I shan’t be using them cowboys again they were even surprised to see me down there as they didn’t answer their phone & they had my car but I went to prober garage John grose had it fixed for half the price what they quoted I would give them no stars but can’t so I’ll settle for 1
