Review Time
It looks like my original review got removed, so I am reviewing again, Cin7 Core (A.K.A dear system) tech support is really bad. They give you a "simple fix" which you can obviously find on their help section, but when that doesn't work they take weeks to get it fix, and at the end of it comes back to you and say "this is the limitations of our software".
Just recently, had an integration issue, which I even sent them a video recording the issue, waited for 4 days from this guy Iman only to tell me something I already knew, replied to him and waited 2 days yet still not reply.
To be honest, if you can find another reliable tech support inventory software even if they do not have as much capabilities but they provide way better support I say go for it. Don't be locked into Cin7 by setting up an account making it difficult to move away when issues rise up.
Overall, Cin7 Core has been a great fit for our business. The system meets our needs well - it’s straightforward to use without being overly complicated, and it offers strong functionality across the board. Our onboarding specialist, Dawn, was fantastic to work with and made the entire implementation process seamless. We’ve only just scratched the surface of what the platform can do, but we’re really happy with both the level of service and the system itself.
Our company purchased the Focused Package for Cin7 Core's implementation process.First things first—I would DEFINITELY use some sort of implementation guidance. You don't know what you don't know and Cin7 is quite the rabbit hole, so don't underestimate it. The juice was definitely worth the squeeze. Our Cin7 implementation consultant, Lankani, was fantastic. She was very responsive and did an excellent job at explaining seemingly complex concepts in an easily digestible way. She was also quick to provide further guidance after the go-live implementation date. We had a couple hiccups once we gave everything the green light and she was quick to offer feedback, answer questions, and continue guidance in a timely manner. Overall it was a great experience. The product itself is very robust and it's perfect for a growing company such as ours. When set up correctly, this product can be a game changer to your business!
Cin7 is fine. Just fine. It does what we need it to (store location data for our products, primarily). The issue is, however, that their customer support team is insanely slow. We've updated our website recently (a routine security update) and our invoices have completely broken. We contacted support and 6 days later we're still waiting. Being unable to send INVOICES to your CUSTOMERS is really not a good look, and not being able to do anything about it is even worse. The responses we get from the customer service team are 'we have escalated your problem', 'we are working on it', or 'we understand the importance of your issue' but never any meaningful update. This is not the first issue we've had, and also not the first instance of awful support from them either.We're currently looking at a replacement option as we believe it'd be easier to switch(!!!) than trying to continue chasing Cin7, after less than 1 YEAR as their customer.Whilst Sage was awful in terms of software functionality, at least when their programme broke they'd get you back up and running in the hour...
Our company has for the first time moved to an inventory management system. After a lot of research, we settled on Cin7 Core. We have been using this system now for about 2 months and find the setup absolutely suits our business needs. The ability to control stock in multiple warehouses, products with multiple pricing tiers, purchase orders, sales orders, and stock reordering all in one place has been a game changer. This system does everything that our business needs. A huge thank you to Dawn Martenstyne who was our onboarding/trainer. Dawn covered all of our questions with ease and made the whole training process very smooth. Everything was explained in a way that made it easy to follow.
Stay away and look for other much more capable systems.Pricing - they upped our pricing several times in the last 5 years and they provide better pricing on their website. But because I am a legacy customer I need to pay more because...they store our data? They just sent another price increase notice which will put the price at more than 200% increase in 5 years. They keep adding half baked features maybe to try and justify the price increase that we never used.Reporting - you cannot have a report on Ordered amount - Invoiced amount - Left to invoice. Instead you need to download and combine reports trying to figure this out.Woo integration - untouched for few years already. If you have a new product and you want to sync it with Cin 7? Cin 7 will sync all your Woo inventory - remove any customization you did in Cin 7 to your product list. Things like HS codes will be removed, categories will be removed, any sort of edits you did in Cin 7 are gone - and they support 1 category per product while Woo allows multiple. Their support used to be much better before the purchase with an official whatsapp chat which is now dead. I talked about these issues with them multiple times and every time they just want another call - then they can't answer any questions during the call - they open a ticket to escalate the problem - and then when they don't have a solution they just close it.
After a long time of researching which platform was the right one for us, we landed on Cin7. It was a huge job getting us onboarded, and I wanted to thank Dawn Martenstyne for being such a fantastic and patient support for us while we got there. She has truly made this a great experience and has exceptional customer service skills. Always getting back to us in a timely manner and being so knowledgeable on the system. We are still very new to the system, so I can't speak much on it just yet.
