Absolutely steer clear. What once was a reputable company is now a low grade drop shipping company with 0 customer service skills and 100% rate of effectively conning me out of my money and making me run rings to try and get a refund. I am absolutely appalled. How this company is getting away with this illegal activity I do not know. People joke about temu being the bottom teir of drop shippers but turns out temu are the cream of the crop compared to this abomination. What was once debanhams, this certainly is not. Just the name riding on the back of a reputation it cannot, and will not even attempt, to uphold. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I received my item in a reasonable amount of time, just a few days from the order date, I was really pleased with it, it fits well and is as shown in the pictures online.
Bought a mattress though debenhams which was delivered smelling like a wet moldy towel contacted debenhams customer service who contacted the supplier who said its how a new mattress smells.
I bought an ornament on the 14th February 2026 but I'm still waiting for delivery, I tracked my item only to be told by delivery company the id been given the wrong tracking information. My item had been delivered to someone in England but I live in South Wales.
Trying to get any information from Debenham is like getting blood out of a stone. What makes it worse is I paid £1.99 for delivery protection. It might be great if nothing goes wrong but if it does you Basically lose your money
I would give zero stars if I could. Appalling unhelpful "help", wasted days of my time trying to get a refund for a makeup palette that arrived crushed/broken. Save your money - do not trust these charlatans.
I ordered a shoe/coat rack on 1st February, and the email said I’d get it by the 9th. I was surprised it would take so long for something so simple, but I waited. It didn’t arrive until the 12th, three days late, and the delivery driver didn’t bother to call or text. They just left it outside in the rain, and I ended up with a soaked shoe rack.
As a first-time customer, it was such a disappointing experience and it made me think to never buy from Debenhams again.
I will delete the app and never buy again anything from this company. I bought a wardrobe for £460 because i thought if i pay something expensive, it will arrive and be ready right away. NOOOO. The first time we tried to put the wardrobe together, we realised that the manual is missing. It took 3 days for Debenhams to send me a pdf file of the instructions !!! The second time we tried to put the wardrobe together, we realised that the whole back was missing! All the parts for the back ! Now I am -£460.00
and I do not have a wardrobe. This is ridiculous. Send me the back parts asap. Customer service is an AI. This is a joke.
DUX047937323. As with many customers this order number did not arrive. I’m now told I can’t have my money refunded because it’s beyond their “timeline”! Debenhams are a disgrace and probably operating illegally. No human customer service just useless AI.
Avoid using this company at all costs.
One star it’s too much for this company such a bad customer service nearly two months just trying to return one item , Every time they give me a date to get my money back, they say I'll get it back within a week, then the week ends and they give me another week and I still haven't received the refund.
I made a significant order this morning. They added £6.47 automatically for product support which I didn’t spot before I paid for the order! I had a code I applied for next day or express delivery but the email confirming the order said 8 days from now! All a big con! I messaged customer support to no avail. They said they cannot refund the product support now the order has been made (even though the order hasn’t been dispatched yet. Never ordering from Debenhams again. Atrocious at best and a breach of contract
