After carrying out lots and lots of research into Whisky as part of my retirement investment portfolio I finally decided to speak with Whiskey Partners which is part of the Decant Group. I’ve been with them nearly a year now and really can’t recommend them enough. I deal with Nathan Crimp who has guided me with great skill through this new world. I thought I knew a fair bit about Whisky, how wrong was I and after Nathan invited me to one of the bonded warehouses to view and taste one of my casks, I have absolute confidence that the team are looking after my assets and therefore my investments. I’ve even got my mother in law signed up and investing🤓 I currently hold 4 Bourbon and 4 Whiskey cask with investment time spans of 3 to 15 years.

Good advice. Easily checked. It does help to have a little knowledge concerning whisky. However the Client Advisors are excellent and explain things in terms that you can relate to. Do not necessarily go for something you would drink. You are looking for investment. The premier “Marks” cost a fortune. You do not need to go this route for a profit. Decide how long you want to “hold” a cask and buy on this based on your idea of length of investment. Remember, currently in the UK this is Capital Gains Tax free. (Who knows for how long).
Nathan has been very generous with his time and preparing us for our investment, as well as the purchasing process. I am still struggling to get my account to show as fully verified on my app, but aside from what is a minor IT issue, Decant and Nathan have been fantastic. Thank you!
Buying is easy, there is plenty of information and background reading on distilleries and individual casks, all of this is easily accessible on the Decant index app.My experience throughout has been helped by Isaac Chambers, who has given it the personal touch. His knowledge and recommendations have been greatly appreciated . I feel the client's interest are important to him in this relationship, and his passion for the market is infectious.
Found the company and the team to be very transparent and professional throughout the whole whisky investment process. Isaac is especially helpful and professional in his approach to clients - he identifies casks you’d be interested in as opposed to just flogging off whatever the company is trying to sell.
