The worst app ever, it always has connection issues, rewarding criteria is nothing worth at all. I do not get any rewards for last 4 months even though it is always connected with my car's app, and support team is not helpful at all. I have been in contact with for last 2-3 months and they even don't care to reply emails. They do not follow-up emails either.
Its just plain not good.The end to end experience like all crypto is over complicated, the macaron device was ok for a few months but now constantly disconnects for days on end until i fiddle with it (you should ‘t have to constantly maintain hardware its the 21st century).It give me battery info on my car sometime, mileage even less often, it used to give throttle and engine effort stats but an update killed that so essentially it provides nothing of use for my car, oh and the ios app is pretty rubbish too with some intuitive bits to be fair.Overall, hot garbage, they aren’t getting meaningful data for my car, they don’t support my car particularly even after a year, another pyramid crypto project.
Purchasing the AutoPi device from DIMO turned out to be a disappointing experience. While the concept seems promising, the reality leaves much to be desired.The main issue is the device's universality, which paradoxically becomes its biggest flaw. AutoPi proved incompatible with my Honda's computer system, causing a series of errors and irregularities. What was meant to facilitate diagnostics became a source of additional problems and potentially costly repairs.The token reward program, advertised as an incentive, is disproportionate to the risk the user must take. At the current token rate, return on investment could take over two years - far too long considering the potential costs and troubles.The pairing and installation process was frustrating, requiring multiple attempts. Technical support, although responsive, was unable to solve key issues.The adhesive for mounting the device is subpar, failing to keep it in place even on cleaned surfaces.In summary, I strongly advise reconsidering the decision to purchase AutoPi. The potential risk of damaging your car's computer system and associated repair costs far outweigh any potential benefits. There are safer and more reliable ways to monitor vehicle parameters.If you still decide to purchase, be prepared for possible complications and unforeseen expenses. In my case, this investment proved to be more than questionable.The token reward system is not commensurate with the risk users must take when purchasing and using the device. With the current token rate, the average payback period for the invested amount in the AutoPi device is over two years, which is far too long considering the potential issues.
The connectivity is terrible. Often have to reset to get status, and there is very little car data that an $8 OBDII scanner can see (coolant temp, tach, O2, etc.) The location also jumps around and the app seems very buggy. Hopefully these issues will be worked out, but so far the experience has been high-maintenance with little advantage.
