Incredibly poor website design..

The pictures of the Union Jack with a "play" button on them which goes nowhere.

The constant "£29.99" expert plan option on offer. I want to buy it. Where?! Is this a device conflict with my phone and ipad?

Don't get me started on the totally disfunctional style/color picker. Half of the options change nothing and there are 2 different sections which simply change the colors.

Feel free to get your ui guys to call me so I can debug.

Very happy with our DIY kitchens experience. Visited both showrooms first for inspiration and secondly to check some more technical aspects. Planning tool was very useful and easy to use. Delivery went to plan and delivery men were very efficient. A couple of issues with two doors were resolved easily and replacements rapidly delivered. Our fitter was impressed with the quality of the units. Would definitely recommend DIY kitchens.

We bought an older house that needed a lot of work our first job was the kitchen. We went to some outlets and got some quotes, but felt it was very much sales driven by the staff. We were told about DIY kitchens from a local builder. The design process was really simple and DIY kitchens reviewed our design and made sure everything was functional but also commented on things like symmetry and helped us tweak a few things before we placed our order. Anyone that is nervous about designing it themselves don’t be as there is plenty of support from their online team.

Where to start?
From the beginning I guess, the initial ordering process was easy enough, DIY kitchens checked the plan and made suggestions to amend the order to include items i missed, at that point I was very happy.
Had a delivery week which i was a little worried about because I was not given a day in that week when the kitchen would be delivered, I would be contacted nearer the agreed week and would be given a 3 day delivery window which was not ideal, I was given the 3 day delivery window so took 3 days off work, I was told the kitchen would arrive "Thursday to Saturday of the delivery week, between 8am and 10pm and the driver would call 1 hour prior", so for 3 days I waited and finally on the Saturday I had a call at 8pm telling me they would arrive at 10pm, they arrived at 10.30pm !!!!!
So my neighbours had to endure a very large lorry making lots of noise outside our house for 90 mins whilst the kitchen was unloaded, not very happy about that.
FROM THEN ON THE WHOLE DIY KITCHEN EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM ANY RETAILER I HAVE EVER HAD.

The 1st delivery of the kitchen at 10.30pm was on Saturday 17th January, today is Friday 20th February and I still have not got a complete kitchen.

I am currently on my 11th delivery.

1) kitchen arrives and I find damaged units and doors (you can't phone anyone you have to fill in an online form)
2) 2 weeks later some of the damaged doors are delivered, some of those are damaged too !!, another online form filled in
3) a couple of days later some more doors arrive, no holes for hinges - another online for filled in
4) legs missing, some replacements delivered
5) more doors arrive, damaged again, another form filled in
6) replacement units arrive, door damaged and door missing, drawers missing - another online form filled in
7) drawer fronts arrive, damaged and no holes drilled for fitment....
8) drawers arrive again, items missing
9) missing items arrive, still missing items
10) missing items arrive but still not complete
11) awaiting final missing items

I have complained multiple times via email and just get the standard "we apologise for any inconvenience caused"

So 11 deliveries and at this point I still have not got a complete kitchen, if you decide to use DIY kitchens you may well have a kitchen delivered and all is good BUT if you get any damage then good luck with getting it resolved quickly.
Luckily for me I fitted the kitchen myself but if you have a kitchen fitter then find one who has a lot of patience and isn't too busy with other clients.
DiY kitchens must think that I don't have a life and that I can just stay at home all day every day awaiting a delivery that comes between 8am and 10pm.

Some of the damaged items have clearly been packed damaged because the packaging was in perfect condition but the contents were damaged.

Think very carefully if ordering from this company because if you do get any issues then you will need to ensure someone is able to be at their delivery beck and call as you cannot choose a delivery day, or a time, you are given a day and that's that, if no one is home then that's tough.

THE WORST RETAILER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.

PS.....when you do fill in the online form or email them, they do not respond for 24 hours and sometimes when they respond they just respond with a question which if they read the email they would not need to ask that question, I asked for someone to call me but had a response basically saying they dont do that and I should email.
I currently have sent over 40 emails !!!!

My advice to anyone thinking of using DIY kitchens is to take their quote and see if Wren or Howdens will match it, especially if you have a Wren or Howdens local to you, we had Howdens match the DIY quote but opted for DIY, clearly a mistake in hindsight.

The designing service is so easy to use and has plenty of options. I ordered the Luca Kitchen in Dakar and is was so happy with the quality and style of the kitchen. The kitchen is extremely high quality for a very reasonable price. Delivery was really smooth and follow up customer service was second to none. I will be using them for my next kitchen.

As a general builder I've fitted kitchens from all the main suppliers in the UK and DIY Kitchens are definitely my preferred choice.

The quality of everything is really good, far superior than many other brands, and they're also cheaper than the competition too.

On occasions I have found damaged items but these things happen in transit and can't be helped. The customer support is really helpful though and it's simple to organise replacements through the website.

All in all I highly recommend them.

Unacceptable Behavior from Delivery Drivers

I am not a customer of the service and never intend to be. Today, I experienced verbal abuse from their drivers. After returning home from a school run with my young children, I found their large vehicle completely blocking the road, preventing me from accessing my house. I couldn't leave the car to seek help since my kids would be left alone inside. One of the drivers glanced at me from the house they were delivering to and ignored my presence. After beeping my horn again, one driver came down the driveway, looked at me, and then went back inside without any acknowledgment or apology. This continued for several minutes without anyone addressing the situation. When they finally did respond, I was met with rudeness and disrespectful language, which understandably made me lose my patience. I expressed my frustration about being unable to get home due to their vehicle blocking the way in our cul-de-sac. One of the gentlemen resorted to insulting me, calling me a bad mother for my reaction, all while my children were in the car. I even took photos of their vehicle's license plate as they left, where both men waved and one made a derogatory gesture about my weight. I am currently pregnant, and their behavior was completely unacceptable. I simply wanted to return home with my children, yet I was mocked and verbally abused by these drivers. My family has a strong background in trades, and we are appalled by the conduct of these individuals. I am now awaiting a response from a manager.

Helpful staff and excellent design support.

The staff provided great assistance, and the help we received regarding the design was outstanding. We encountered some problems with an oven unit being damaged in several areas, particularly around the door hinges, but replacement hinges were supplied to resolve this issue.

User-friendly planner and efficient delivery

The planner was straightforward to navigate, and the subsequent DIY checks guaranteed that all necessary components were part of the order. Communication was clear throughout, and the delivery team was both friendly and efficient. We also placed some additional orders for extras recommended by our fitters, which arrived promptly. Now that the kitchen has been installed for nearly a year, we are very pleased with its quality and durability. We would definitely order again.
