Thought my rover 75 diesel needed a new alternator. From what I've seen a horrendous job to tackle. Checked out a 75 forum which said you can change the alternator brush pack. Checked which one I needed (3 pin) and ordered one from dmgrs. It arrived the next day. The job was a bit fiddly but definitely doable. The old brushes were completely worn down compared to the new part. Reassembled then fired it up. The battery light went out and now charging at 14 volts. Many thanks.
I have used this firm for a dozen years or more. The service has always been second to none. Completely trustworthy, genuine and friendly. And very reasonable prices, as a bonus. I always try them first, followed by a phone call if needed, before looking anywhere else.
Parts are overpriced. A £35 set of HT leads here will cost you £15 elsewhere. Leads weren't even compatible with car, and I had to return the incorrect parts. Rotor arm was poor quality and broke on fitment, as it was a cheap and incompatible knock off. Pretends to be apologetic for poor service, then leaves me out of pocket on both the delivery and return postage.
Here we are again, I ordered 8 items on Tues 13th Feb. and yes I paid for express delivery as I did'nt want to take any chances should I have to reorder a part that was required for the w/end. Wed. 14th 10.00. am. goods delivered all in order. So according to my overall experiences with DMGRS Matt', Max and Scott once again from ordering on their site after talking to Matt' to clarify any issues I may have had prior to ordering the order was placed on their site and arrived all in order. I do appreciate that now and again some people will experience some issues with goods ordered but that is the nature of the game. My experience is once again they have come through and delivered on time no problems at all.Thanks again to the boys' for a sterling service and instilling confidence. Really let me down with an spare part. Having spoken to them prior to ordering to establish their quickest delivery options I was assured the premier service was a next working day trackable service. They had in fact sent my item normal post which royal mail confirmed as untraceable. Misleading, dishonest and as a consequence my repair works have been put back.
