Caution: Aggressive Sales Tactics

I must share my experience to warn other travelers: this service uses aggressive sales tactics that left me in a vulnerable financial position. I arrived with a fully prepaid reservation showing no charges due at pickup, having secured insurance online. However, at the counter, the staff insisted I either pay for additional insurance or face a hefty hold on my credit card. This felt like coercion rather than a choice. The company later denied any wrongdoing, despite numerous complaints from other customers about similar experiences. This ordeal cost me a lot and caused significant stress. If you value your finances and well-being, please avoid this service.

Misleading and Untrustworthy Service

The vehicle we reserved was unavailable upon our arrival. We waited in the lobby for three hours while they searched for a car. Eventually, they found one but it wouldn't close properly when we loaded our luggage. They then offered us a third car, which had a foul odor. We reluctantly accepted it due to our exhaustion from waiting. On the first night, another vehicle struck us. We hadn’t purchased additional insurance, believing it was included in the contract. Since it wasn't, we took steps to avoid being charged for damages. I returned the car days before it was due. A police report was filed, and the third party agreed to cover the damages. The manager assured me that all rental fees would be waived and that the damage charge would go to the third party's card. However, the next day, I found charges for both the damages and full rental fee on my credit card. Now, I feel compelled to pursue legal action. I strongly advise against renting from this service!

Terrible Experience

Absolutely awful. Rented a car for two days with full insurance, only to get a flat tire in just 30 minutes. There was no spare tire, leading to a five-hour wait for a tow and tire replacement. The trip was completely ruined. Upon returning the vehicle, I was informed that it is their policy not to provide spare tires, and that renters must cover tire replacement costs. They refused to reimburse me for this expense.

Extremely Poor Service

This was the most disappointing service I have ever encountered with a car rental. I prepaid for my reservation and picked up the vehicle on a Saturday. We waited for two hours to receive our car, with only one staff member available on a busy day. The service was slow, unhelpful, and the staff seemed indifferent to our long wait despite our prepaid status. I strongly recommend avoiding this rental service.

Dangerous and Unprofessional Service

I would give zero stars if possible. They provided me with a car that had a flat tire, which I had to repair myself. After a week, a warning light for low oil appeared, and they suggested I drive the vehicle on the motorway to their office for a check-up, which is incredibly unsafe. Instead of providing a replacement vehicle or assistance, they required me to conduct maintenance checks myself. They left me stranded with an unsafe vehicle and refused to help. This company prioritizes profit over safety—please rent elsewhere.

Excellent Service at Faro

I can't recommend this car rental service highly enough! A big thank you to their friendly and exceptional staff! We were picked up and dropped off at the parking lot by their van in just two minutes. The depot was clean and staffed by wonderful people. The car collection was effortless, and while there was a refundable deposit for toll fees and damages, the process was straightforward. There were minor damages on the vehicle, but nothing significant. Returning the car was a pleasure. Given everything, I was pleasantly surprised that the 16-day hire of a Fiat 500 cost only £50!

Very Disappointing Experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this service. I booked a rental car in advance with a strict pickup time of 8:00 am. Upon arriving at 9:00 am, the staff refused to release the car, claiming I was late, without any flexibility or assistance. They did not take responsibility for their misleading terms. I ended up paying for a service I never received due to poor communication and transparency. Overall, this company showed terrible customer service and a lack of flexibility. I will not rent from them again and caution others to be careful.

Horrible Experience

The web check-in function didn’t work, leading to a blank page when I clicked the link. The shuttle bus driver was reckless, driving far too fast, and I waited over an hour with only a few counters open. Additionally, they charged extra for returning the car after 8:30 PM, despite advertising themselves as an airport rental service. When I received the car, the fuel tank was only half full.

Avoid This Service

I booked a car rental through a travel service and paid for comprehensive insurance only to find out upon arrival that this insurance was not honored. They insisted on their own, which was five times the cost and included a hefty upfront excess. This was by far my worst car rental experience.
