Every single Saturday I get the same items and use digital coupons. I also use the 5 dollars off a 2

Every single Saturday I get the same items and use digital coupons. I also use the 5 dollars off a 25 dollar or more order. None of the coupons were working. So instead of manually changing the price I was told I had the option to remove the items. 😆 So then because of that I didn't get the 5 dollar off coupon because the order fell below 25 dollars. The last time this happened at a different location and they manually adjusted the price. Either fix your coupon system or get rid of it. Or make sure u train every employee to manually adjust the price if the coupon isn't working.

My name is Lynn,
First I would like to express my opinion on the employees you hire to represent Dollar General, this store specifically. There is no dress code, the employees including the your Night Managers,
They spend more time gossiping about others, they often don't hear you ask a question, because they won't stop talking. They're loud, obnoxious, and spit all over everything when they speak. Dentures might help. They were yelling at me, because they didn't know how to accommodate my question and concerns. I'm appalled at the condition of the store, is dirty, shelves are empty, there was 3 people working tonight and I couldn't get an answer to where the freezer bags were. A customer told me. I will never patron any of your stores again. I'm just done. If you're fine with your employees wearing sweatpants and stained tops, none of which wear the Dollar General logo. I wish you the best.

I was criminally trespassed from a Dollar General—for attempting to shop during posted business hour

I was criminally trespassed from a Dollar General—for attempting to shop during posted business hours.

I arrived at 9:50 PM— 10 minutes before closing. As I pulled up, an employee waved me off through the window. When I walked to the door, he refused to open it. He claimed they were closed despite customers still inside visibly shopping.

Two employees kept walking to the window, stared at me, took photos while I sat in my car looking up corporate contact info, then called police— I was not being threatening. I was not being aggressive. I was not making a scene.

The officer told me I was criminally trespassed.

The police report claims that a store manager requested the trespass. That’s the official record.

Except Dollar General’s own investigation proved that never happened.

A District Manager told me multiple times that:
• No Dollar General employee requested or authorized the trespass
• The responding officer acted on his own, claiming I was a “known issue”
• The supposed manager named in the report was a recent hire who is no longer employed

She apologized and acknowledged the employees had no authority to close early. She confirmed everything needed to challenge the false police record.

And then she refused to put any of it in writing.

Week 1: District Manager calls back after initial complaint. Explains internal findings verbally.
Week 3: Follow-up conversation initiated by customer. Same findings. District Manager requests police documentation, receives it via provided email. Promises follow-up email “the next day.” Never sends it.
Week 6: Formal written request for statement. No response. Online complaint requesting escalation to Regional Manager or Legal. No response.
Week 7: Customer service call. Promised callback in 24-48 hours. Nothing.
Week 8: Another call. Same promise. Same silence.
Week 9: Another call. Another broken promise.

Multiple emails to corporate addresses including the CEO, various VPs, investor relations, customer service, and the district manager. Zero responses.

This isn’t about an apology. This is about a false law enforcement record that gives a deputy legal justification to arrest someone for going to the store.

Dollar General knows the record is false. They investigated it. They confirmed it. And now they’re protecting their liability at the expense of my civil rights.

Their silence isn’t neutral. It’s a choice. By refusing to document what they’ve already admitted, they’re allowing a fabricated police report to stand as fact—and leaving a customer to fight law enforcement alone, with one hand tied behind their back.

It's clear that Dollar General doesn’t want to admit to n writing that:
• Their employees closed the store early without authorization
• Their employees called the police on a customer who was just trying to shop
• Their employees stood by while an officer manufactured a trespass notice
• The so-called “manager” who allegedly requested the trespass may not have even held that title

And they definitely don’t want to admit that employees locked customers inside the store while procedurally securing the building—a potential fire safety violation under state law.

Because once that’s in writing, it’s not just the customer’s problem, it’s their problem.

If you’re a Dollar General customer, ask yourself:

Do you want to shop at a place where employees call the cops after creating an issue in the first place? A place where corporate apologizes behind closed doors, but refuses to put their words in writing because they're more concerned about liability than the abuse a d violation of a customer's civil rights, while leaving you with a permanent record—even after corporate admits it was bullsh_t?

Significant Improvements at the Local Store

Living just half a mile from the local store, I've observed a remarkable enhancement in its appearance and organization over the past few months. I spoke with the current manager, and I praised her for the positive changes happening under her leadership.

Terrible Experience with Deposit

On September 1st, I visited a local store to make a $500 deposit to my cash app. However, the money has not appeared in my account since then. The store manager was unhelpful and refused to assist me with this issue. I feel like I’ve lost my money and I don’t understand how this could happen.

Are the shelf prices ever accurate?

Are the shelf prices ever accurate? It seems ever since the pandemic, they are incorrect most of the time. The latest issue was tonight, where the shelf displayed one price, but the register showed a higher amount. I didn't mention it because it never leads to any resolution. This has been an ongoing issue since their previous location. I'm surprised authorities haven't stepped in to address this.

Lack of Attention at Local Store

The local store in Hiram, Georgia, seems to be lacking in management. The buyer should really be reconsidered for not fulfilling their responsibilities. The Fair Life chocolate milk consistently sells out within a week, yet it remains out of stock for months at a time. Instead, they keep restocking products that aren't moving. I've been checking regularly, and the Fair Life chocolate milk hasn't been available for months. As a result, I've had to drive to another town to find it, where they noticed the demand and even increased the price by about 50 cents. At least their buyer is attentive to their job. Now, I prefer shopping elsewhere, and we no longer purchase anything from this store, despite it being less than a mile from our home.

I used to enjoy shopping at dollar general, that is till my last experience in Latexo, TX. ESPECIAL

I used to enjoy shopping at dollar general, that is till my last experience in Latexo, TX. ESPECIALLY when things clearance, it definitely helps a stretched budget. Recently fall went to 99% yeah!! Not yeah I spent my time going thru the items that were 90% and purchased several items. However when I got home looking at receipt I realized I was charged the 70% off pricing. Immediately returned to store ( time lapse bout 15 min) I spoke with employee that checked me out & explained simple math & was told she could not do price corrections to return in the am & speak with manager, which I did & she told me to bring the items back to store, I did not have time then but asked if I could do so next day & was told yes. & That she would be there. When I returned the next day the manager was not there &:the employee informed me that the. 90% signs had been removed & 70% was back up. I purchased the items because they were supposed to be 90% savings. U bought the. When the signage said 90%. Does dollar general like to scam their customers in this manner?? Apparently so and they should be fined for false advertising at the least. Shame o on you dollar general!¡

Unpleasant experience with the staff and environment

The employees are quite rude and unkind to older customers. The location was extremely dirty, making it hard to navigate the aisles. I was thoroughly disgusted by the overall condition of the place.
