Rude employee didn't want to wait on me. She went to the back of the store instead of waiting on me. She started playing with her phone. This made me furious. I went to the other cashier and she started shouting at me for no reason. This store has the worst customer service I have ever seen.
The cashier stole some of my food. I put 6 roast beef sandwiches in my cart an only relieved 3 the cashier was wearing a big black hoodie an as she scanned them put some of them to the side instead of in the bags. This location (5801 Bond Ave, Cahokia Heights, IL 62207) is very awful it's a slum the people in this town have no integrity an are full of drunks and thieves.
When there are only 6 items brought to the register and 8 items are rang up what does that mean??? That means Dollar general authorizes it's employees to be out right THIEVES!!! Of course it could have been a mistake, but obviously it wasn't I've yet to hear back about a resolution after wasting over 2 hours of my time on the phone speaking to customer service as well as corporate who all has broken English, and have done nothing about this, or the racist manager who could have at least answered the phone that millions of times I called!! I even drove back to the store which is over 20 miles from my home and the unknowledgeable racist manager denied any wrongdoing in fact didn't even know what items were involved and claimed I had to scan the items with my phone to get a discount but I was showing her I already had on my app!!! I AM NEVER GOING TO SHOP THERE AGAIN!! THROUGH THE YEARS THEY HAVE RIPPED ME OFF FOR PROBABLY OVER $100 BY MISTAKES MADE BY THEIR EMPLOYEES... EMPLOYEES stand around and smoke outside the door instead of coming in anybody can take what they wanted if they were thieves like them!!! Getting high is more important!!!!
For years, I have come to Dollar General every Saturday to use their coupon for the last three months now every Saturday when I come, it does not take the five dollars off or the majority of the coupons that I have clicked. Today was the final straw I will never shop at a Dollar General again all they are trying to do is rip you off if you use your coupons, you will get them taken off your.
Don’t go to the dollar general stores in central& south central pa. If you notice all the self check outs are down because they add 1$ + to your bill every time and rip you off. Their employees are scandalous and the managers know ✌️stop ripping off the common folk jerks
I wish there were O stars..The customer service at most locations are terrible especially the one on Gentry next to Woody Weaver pharmacy..The white manager charged me for bread twice and I only had one loaf and also overcharged me at 3.70 per loaf.. Overcharged for candy and I showed the ride cashier the correct price and then overcharged for canvas that I buy almost every week..The mgr was rude and extremely unprofessional and so was the cashier..They kept the extra load of bread and wouldn't refund me for the canvas that i was overcharged for..I will never ever shop there again so ghetto and extremely cluttered..I asked the manager for a refund after showing her the errors and she stated she wasn't going to give it to me..I asker her why and she didn't she didnt have too.
Dollar General's manger in Lodi, Ovid, Interlaken, and Trumansburg NY, named Katrina Straub, is anti lgbtq, a bigoted christian, homophobe and transphobe! She purposefully misgenders trans persons and belittles disabled persons who have worked for her! She is rotten to the core and should be fired! DO NOT PATRON ANY DOLLAR GENERAL ESTABLISHMENT BECAUSE THEY ALLOW FOR BIGOTS, HOMOPHOBES AND TRANSPHOBES TO WORK IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY!PSStore manager Katrina ALSO lets DIRTY DOGS into the store! Lets her own dog into the store, and keeps an animal crate in the employee break room which reeks like animal urine! Dollar General's are DISGUSTING! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Score 13371 Pawleys Island does not have air conditioning for the past four months. What kind of company allows there employees roast to death all those months. It was 83° in there. Can’t imagine how the chocolate is in the store but I may make a phone call to South Carolina Department of agriculture.
During the evening of September 21, 2024, I went into the Dollar General on 8640 West Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035, to purchase a few quick items. I put my items on the counter with a cashier nowhere to be found. The aisles are blocked with rolling containers filled with merchandise in an unsafe manner and trying to find an employee is difficult. There was an employee in the manager’s office talking loudly back and forth with someone on speaker phone. I tapped on the self-check out and got no response. I tapped again on the self-check out and a lady from the manager’s office SCREAMED AT ME TO STOP IT. I asked if someone could please ring me out and she SCREAMED AT ME FOR A SECOND TIME SAYING “I AM ON BREAK!” She then stepped out of the manager’s office and SCREAMED THE CASHIER’S NAME. I said to her “Stop screaming; it’s so unprofessional.” She SCREAMED AT ME AGAIN THAT SHE WAS ON BREAK! I told her to stop screaming at me! She stomps off to the manager’s office while the cashier finally comes to the counter and by this time I am shaken by her behavior. He asked what happened and I said she told me to SHUT UP. Hearing this she SCREAMS AT ME AGAIN “I DIDN’T SAY THAT!” and he told me not to talk about her. I said that as a customer I don’t expect to be treated this way. He rang up my items and told me to “GET OUT OF THE STORE NOW.” At this point, the line of customers who didn’t witness how it transpired are heckling me to get out of the store. I was absolutely humiliated by these two employees' poor behavior and as a result, I will not shop at your stores again. Absolutely disgusting behavior!
Dollar General (Union Point, Ga)We shop Dollar General often because it is the closet store to our location. We live within 30 minutes of other retail stores and find it easier just to shop there and spend more for a product I can get cheaper elsewhere rather than have to burn gas in my vehicle and deal with traffic. We stopped in a smaller town to grab a few items on the way home one day and had a dealing with one of the rudest, hateful people I have ran across in a long time. Manager making uncalled comments to other customers about us grabbing the wrong item and that we should be able to read without asking her. Try putting your labels in the right place to start with so your customers will know if they grab the right item and be thankful, they offered to return it instead of leaving it setting at counter for you to do. As the conversation went on the so called manage threw her hands on her hips and made the statement, she was tired of y'all people. She was a female of color, and I am Caucasian they call it or white. I never look at people because of their skin color and I never will. I give respect where it is given and always will. Don't throw your racist remarks at me and act like I did anything wrong. Or replay to me with y'all like you are stereotyping me because of my skin color. Most racist hateful remark I have heard from a Dollar General employee. Yes, I called corporate, and I did file a report, but I know just like everyone else Dollar General will only slap them on the hand and say don't do it again. My advice would be to stay away from these overpriced stores filled with lazy, hateful employees that refuse to do their job and keep a customer happy or help them in any way to keep their business. I am tired of y'all "who is y'all".
