Problems with the company's website, can't renew my domain name, and it's impossible to contact anyone. The website fibs about "live chat" being operational 24/7. When I tried several times it says it was outside office hours. Same with the call centre. Says it is open til 1am but at 9pm after I went through the tedious press button system I was told by a robot that it was outside office hours.
I registered a .ch domain with crazy domains that required a external process which like .com.au domains on other registrars you are TOLD and informed about it. They did not inform me in anyway and would not provide me a refund as "the domain is already active and verified" you can tell switch that so never choose crazy domains.
I don’t feel like 1 star is low enough for crazy domains. My business emails are out again, a quick google search will reveal just how often this happens and the warnings from others to avoid crazy domains for anything but a hobby website. It’s all true. From a security standpoint there is none, foreign customer support has access to all your email passwords, should they forward that information on you are compromised. This new outage/hack. As with all the outages they make you jump through hoops trying to pin it on the customer until you corner them and they give you a cut and paste outage response. no timeline for restoration. Financal cost has now caught up with me and I have no choice but to pursue them for costs.
Absolutely useless. If you have a business website avoid them like a plague. I have paid so much money for SEO just to find my website riddled with viruses and full of mistakes. My website went down for over 2 weeks and they couldn't get it back online. Completely useless and unhelpful customer service cost me thousands in revenue. They refused to issue refund for the rest of the year too. I changed to a different provider that got my site back online within an hour.
I have had the bad luck of having to deal with Crazy Domains and their parent company Dreamscape Networks a bunch of times over the last 12 years. Their website looks fancy, and their positive testimonials on the website look good, but when it comes down to it, they have a customer support team who don't seem to know what they're doing. My reseller account is currently not accessible and support are unable to tell me when it will be accessible. I don't understand how a company that's able to buy up other companies that were previously good and then run them like this can even exist. It really speaks volumes to see that the Google reviews for Crazy Domains and Dreamscape Networks no longer exist. You'd have to be Crazy to use Crazy Domains
I signed up to be a domain reseller and paid my signup fee enticed by their claim to be "most advanced, turnkey solution available for reselling domain names". On signing up, it was not even possible to edit DNS records without paying an extra £9 PER DOMAIN! This was not disclosed anywhere before signing up. Chatting to support operators I was told "yeah we get this complaint all the time".My request for a refund within a couple of hours of signing up was declined and I was pointed to the "no refunds" clause in the Ts&Cs. This is in direct contravention of UK distance selling legislation. The service is not fit for purpose and the company is well aware of this. Avoid at all costs.
I don't understand their governing structure operating structure.Contacting them via chat from the Dreamscape reseller console is of no use. They don't keep the promises they make on the spot. Not working.However, if you contact them via email just because the problem cannot be resolved through chat, you will be even more unhappy. You will receive a mechanical email that your email inquiry has been accepted, but you will not receive a response from them after that.Until about two years ago, there were some people who were very helpful.However, recently the quality has deteriorated rapidly. Even after contacting them, there are more and more issues that are not resolved. It would be fine as long as they replied that they were technically unable to solve the problem, but they have started to abandon even answering questions.Instead of using the Dreamscape reseller console, you may be able to get better results by requesting support through the contact form on the CrazyDomains website.
