Review Time
I have been contributing to Dreamstime for some time, and overall I have a positive impression of the platform. The interface is clean and user-friendly, making navigation simple and intuitive. The upload process is well organized and easy to understand, which saves a lot of time. I also appreciate the AI assistance features that help with keywords and descriptions — it definitely makes workflow more efficient.
Another strong advantage is the exclusivity option for contributors, as well as the frequent photo contests. These opportunities motivate creators and make the platform feel active and engaging.
However, there are also some aspects that I find frustrating. Despite having a solid and carefully curated portfolio, the visibility of my page seems extremely low. Sales occur very rarely, and it is difficult to understand why the exposure is so limited. It would be helpful to have more transparency regarding how search ranking and visibility work.
Additionally, I do not fully understand why some of my model releases are rejected. All releases are properly completed, signed, and attached according to the guidelines, yet they are occasionally declined without clear explanation. More detailed feedback in such cases would be highly appreciated.
Overall, Dreamstime is a good platform with strong potential, but improving transparency in visibility and review decisions would significantly enhance the contributor experience.
I am an amateur photographer based in Indonesia, located in the Riau Province of Sumatra, in the city of Pekanbaru. My hobbies include traveling and photography, and I enjoy uploading photos to social media. On Dreamstime, we can upload our photos and sell them. In addition, we can also upload AI photos to Dreamstime, and the upload process is very easy.
I am a long-time contributor on Dreamstime and I am facing these issues:
Uploading titles and tags is very difficult, especially for multiple images at once.
A large number of my images (sometimes 50–100) get rejected due to reviewer mistakes. I receive messages saying the images were “selected by mistake” and are now rejected, with a request to re-upload them. This clearly shows an error from the review team and wastes a lot of contributor time.
Also, when I was new, I uploaded many similar images without knowing their market value. Now I want to delete those low-value and similar images permanently from my portfolio, but there is no easy bulk option.
Please improve review accuracy, upload workflow, and provide better tools for managing and deleting multiple images.
Thank you.
I have just one concern. Last year, one of my most popular images, which had been on the platform for years, was removed without any notice. I re-uploaded it, but it was deleted again, and I reached out for clarification but never received a response. Aside from that, I have no other issues. My photos are typically approved quickly, and I receive payment shortly after requesting it. I don't remember the exact date of this experience, but I believe it was sometime in 2024.
I just rated the service a well-deserved 5 stars. As a creator, their platform truly seems designed with our needs in mind. The standout feature is their incredibly fast content review system. The minimal waiting time for approval is transformative—it keeps my workflow seamless and my motivation high. The technical aspects are also impressive. The FTP upload system is solid and dependable, and the dual metadata collection (via smart AI and embedded file data) saves me countless hours of manual entry. It’s evident they prioritize smart tools that respect contributors' time. Being invited as an exclusive contributor was a genuine honor, reflecting their appreciation for creators and fostering a real sense of partnership. While I’m eagerly anticipating my first sale, the professionalism and support from the platform instill great confidence and optimism for the future. For any creator seeking an efficient, modern, and respectful stock platform, this service is a top choice. Highly recommended.
I intended to download a vector EPS map and opted for the EPS option, which took me to a purchasing page offering a 7-day trial. After creating an account and entering my bank details without issues, I returned to download the EPS file, but the option had disappeared. The EPS choice was missing from all items on the site. Logging out didn’t help, nor did switching browsers. Ultimately, I had to access the site from a different IP address for the EPS download option to reappear, but it vanished again once I logged in. It feels like the service is preventing me from downloading vector files entirely. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and a significant waste of my time.
From a creator's perspective, the earnings and terms are satisfactory, and the site is user-friendly and visually appealing. However, there are downsides; for instance, the inability to organize images by theme into albums (only using lightboxes that don’t conform to the same logic) is a standard feature present in all competitors I've used before. Additionally, the upload AI occasionally behaves unexpectedly. What’s particularly frustrating is that the description field doesn’t accommodate special characters, and the maximum character limit isn’t indicated. At some point, you’ll realize that half your text is cut off. I found a workaround for this issue, but it adds unnecessary effort. I hope for improvements in the future to facilitate contributions.

The so-called 7-day free trial seems misleading, primarily aimed at collecting card details. The trial doesn’t allow you to utilize any free credits without opting for a paid subscription, which feels like misrepresentation. If you proceed to obtain a paid subscription, you may find that things still don’t work properly. It feels like a scam, especially for artists using this service. After contacting support, I managed to receive a refund. The buying process is quite confusing, indicating credits that don’t correspond to those needed for downloading images. I’m still unsure how it all works, and I believe it should be simplified for users willing to pay. After further interactions with customer support, I’ve increased my rating to 4 stars; they were very helpful and responsive despite the website's drawbacks.
