About three months ago, my 10-year-old daughter started taking horseback riding lessons at this center. She also volunteers there on weekends, as children over 10 are allowed to participate. Her skills have been consistently improving, and most importantly, she's having a fantastic time. The atmosphere here is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it.
Around three months ago, my 10-year-old daughter began taking horseback riding lessons at this center. She also volunteers there on weekends, since kids over 10 are permitted to do so. Her skills have been improving steadily, and, more importantly, she's really enjoying herself. The atmosphere here is notably warm and inviting. I highly recommend it.
I've been taking private lessons here for over 18 months and feel lucky to have discovered such a refuge from the outside world. The facility is well-organized, clean, and full of activity, featuring a diverse range of mounts from Shetlands to heavy horses. It's a challenging environment to manage, and it's a joy to see how diligently the staff, particularly the team, ensure high welfare, meaningful engagement, and excellent veterinary care for all the horses. The staff goes to great lengths to match you with the right horse, and I've learned to trust their expertise. Regular attendance allows them to evaluate you properly and understand your strengths and weaknesses. There is an academy for advanced riders, and the horses enjoy outings for cross-country and show-jumping events, as well as their annual holidays in the pasture. The school boasts exceptional coaches; special thanks to one for her uncanny ability to foresee what you need to advance, and to read your body language and mood in moments, incorporating sensitivity and nuance into every lesson. Another coach’s passion and energy can inspire anyone, and I've often seen her provide beginners with an unforgettable experience. Horse riding is a risky sport, and managing horses in a busy environment requires immense focus and concentration. The staff prioritizes safety and horse welfare, setting a commendable example for the riders. It's a serious endeavor, and I have nothing but respect for their precision and professionalism.
I purchased a voucher for the riding school as a birthday gift for my partner, who is an experienced rider and has missed riding and spending time with horses for quite some time. He booked his first lesson, and everything went well. However, when he booked a second lesson, he received a call on the morning of the lesson informing him that he could no longer ride as they had just realized he was too heavy. He had declared his weight from the start. Although he is a bit muscular, it's not excessive for an average male. Given that he had already completed one lesson without issue and it was the school's oversight, good customer service would have been to allow him to proceed with his booked ride and inform him afterward about future limitations. I also found it ironic that they claim to care for their horses' health, as they appeared quite miserable and isolated in small enclosures. While they may receive physical care, they seemed as unhappy as animals in a zoo. I had already thought this was one of the saddest places I had seen, and my opinion has not improved. I also noted that my partner was the only person of color present, and during my visit, he was stared at the entire time.
Unsatisfactory customer service. Would not recommend. Booked a bonding session for my daughter that was supposed to last 30 minutes but only lasted 15 minutes with little to no education or engagement from the trainer. The riding sessions themselves are poorly structured, lacking one-on-one feedback or progress assessments. Sessions do not seem to build on previous lessons either.
My 10-year-old daughter began her horse riding lessons at the school around three months ago and has also been volunteering at the center on weekends (children over 10 can volunteer). She has been making good progress and, more importantly, is having fun. It's a very friendly and open environment. Highly recommended.
