This site functions as an *obituary scraper*, automatically taking obituaries from funeral homes and newspapers to repost for clicks. It's appalling! Families share these notices to honor their loved ones, not to have their grief taken advantage of by a predatory website. Making profit from someone's death without permission is utterly reprehensible. Steer clear of this disturbing operation at all costs.
This site operates as an obituary scraper, automatically taking obituaries from various sources to repost for clicks. It's appalling! I can't imagine a more predatory action than taking advantage of those mourning a loved one. I wrote my father's obituary and was horrified to see that within an hour of it being posted, this company had taken my words and turned them into an AI-generated version to profit from those who cared for him. Absolutely revolting.
They posted my father's obituary without our consent and even altered parts of it. What's even more troubling is their practice of charging for flowers that likely never reach the family, as suggested by other reviews. Making a profit off the deceased is incredibly wrong!
This company reposted my father's obituary without our family's knowledge or consent, and the version they shared was inaccurate. This practice, often referred to as 'obituary pirating,' raises significant ethical concerns. Families should not have to deal with such unauthorized use of personal content. While the service claims to be beneficial, it primarily profits from sensitive information, which is particularly concerning.
After my cousin passed away, I searched online for funeral details and found an obituary with links to purchase flowers and send condolences. I ordered flowers but received no confirmation. Unable to contact them due to the lack of a phone number, I grew suspicious. After seeing poor reviews about the company, I discovered my cousin had never published an obituary. I cancelled my order and reported the unauthorized posting. They removed the obituary but this experience was deeply troubling.
It is both unethical and cruel to repost someone's obituary and share family details without permission. This company should feel ashamed and be shut down. They not only reposted my mother's obituary but also rephrased our carefully chosen words as if they were their own. Absolutely disgusting. I demand the removal of my mother’s obituary from your website immediately.
If there were options for zero or negative stars, I would choose those. Their web crawler found my son's death announcement, altered it for their own purposes, and falsely reported that his parents were deceased. This has only added to our trauma during an already difficult time. Your actions are cruel and unacceptable. My son's death notice should never have been on your site without my consent.
I do not recommend this company. They take obituaries and repost them, using generic descriptions to profit from the deaths of unique individuals. We ordered flowers through them but were also charged for a candle we didn't order. They did refund our money, but I still believe it's wrong to take and alter obituaries for profit.
