Then I left it back and they hit me with a charge for slight damage on the drivers side alloy wheel, like someone hit a curb. I definitely did not hit anything and they charged nearly 200 euro, after paying the waiver fee, and giving 250 for deposit and actually renting the car.
So in total it cost me nearly 450. Absolute disgrace and I ll never use the again. Can t believe this

Reliable Service Over the Years

For over a decade, I have been using a car rental service in Dublin, and my experience has generally been quite positive. As someone without a car, I rent vehicles for trips westward to surf and visit family. I typically go to the city center office at Spencer Dock, where I find that some of the long-standing staff recognize me. Previously, employees would try to upsell on insurance, but even newer staff have stopped this, possibly due to a note on my account. On a positive note, I consistently find the busy staff to be friendly, courteous, and efficient. I regret hearing about the negative experiences shared by others, though I am unsure if they apply to the city center office.

A Decade of Positive Experiences

I have been utilizing a car rental service in Dublin for more than ten years, and my overall experience has been largely positive. As a resident without a car, I rent vehicles to travel west for surfing and family visits. I always prefer the city center office, currently at Spencer Dock, where some of the long-term staff seem to recognize me. While in the past employees would try to upsell additional insurance, even the new staff have ceased this practice—perhaps there's a note on my account suggesting I’m not interested. On a brighter note, I always find the often-busy staff to be friendly, courteous, and efficient. I’m sorry to hear about the negative experiences others have reported, though I'm not certain if they relate to the city center office.

Extremely Disappointing Rental Experience

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a car rental service. They took the full booking amount from me without providing the car. I spent about three hours at the airport trying to resolve the issue, but they offered no solution. I would advise against booking with them, even if they offer deals. Surprisingly, they did not even provide a refund, leaving me without a car and out of pocket.

Frustrating Late Fee

I have never left a negative review before, but I was fined £40 for being just four minutes late. I called to inform them I was on my way, so they were aware. Upon returning the car, I attempted to reach them ten times to find out where to return it, but received no answer. I cannot recommend this service.

Serious Warning

Serious warning! I had a terrible experience booking a vehicle from an airport location. They charged my credit card the agreed amount, but when I returned the car, they refunded that amount and charged an extra €60, claiming I requested an upgrade, which I did not. Now they are refusing to refund the €60. Please stay away from this company.

Late Pickup and Rude Service

I had a booking for 11 am but didn't receive the car until 12 pm, causing me to be late for work. I was told I had to pay for weekend insurance, even though my insurance was supposed to cover it. I received a damaged vehicle and was not shown any details about it. The staff member was rude and unhelpful. I will not be using this service again.

Update on Prior Experience

I want to update my previous review regarding my rental experience, which I initially felt was a scam. After some communication with the customer service team, I received an apology, which I appreciate, and they have resolved the matter to my satisfaction. Although it took time, I commend them for ultimately doing the right thing.

Avoid at All Costs

Avoid this service at all costs. They charge for damages without any proof that it wasn't already present. Their customer service is lacking, and I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned four weeks after returning the vehicle, while they have already charged my card for damage I did not cause. Contacting them by phone is impossible—everything is directed to email, and they do not respond.

Life-Threatening Situation

EDIT - I received a frustrating automated response after waiting all day for a call back from customer service. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - IT IS A RISK TO YOUR SAFETY, not just your money. We lost eight hours of our weekend and were left stranded. As two young women, one of whom has special needs, this was extremely frightening. We had to spend additional money to escape the situation, as the company offered little assistance. Despite encountering a kind customer service agent, I feel I was put in danger by being given a faulty vehicle. The car malfunctioned in heavy traffic, causing immense anxiety and risk. After several hours of waiting for roadside assistance, we were told we would not be taken to our intended destination but back to the airport instead. We ended up purchasing additional transport tickets, which extended our trip significantly. This experience has led me to strongly advise against using this service.
