Had lock code for price kiosk refused to recognize repeatedly sold for less than anticipated with locked price after using resources to sell phone in first place had no option but to get ripped off for my iPhone XR
It was so simple to use with the step by step instructions on the screen. And multiple options to get paid including cash! I will continue to use ecoATM and definitely tell all my friends and family! Thanks
Easy peasy ...... you get the amt you'd trade it in for! Make sure you back it up and delete accounts (email, fb, messenger etc) then your can do a total factory reset. If you have am iPhone or apple product make sure you turn off the 'find me'
I like the system but I first marked that my phone is dead but can charge an power on didn’t give enough time to charge an cords were not coming out far enough to attach to port they were in like a shielded hole an were not able to pull forward to enter port so I had to sell iPhone 11 for 10$ that was functional even though it was locked
They certainly won't provide the amount of money you hope for, that's for sure. Often, I feel like the machine rejects devices because it aims to offer less than it should. If you set a price, it may claim it can't connect to the device and then ultimately offer you a lower amount anyway. I'm not entirely convinced, but they do give you money, just not a significant sum.
The only eco machine available in my town is located at the local store. Since they remodeled, the machine has changed, and while it now includes a USB port for device testing, it doesn't function well. If the device can't be plugged in or isn't charged, the payout is only a dollar, which is frustrating. The value of the materials in these devices far exceeds that, as they typically earn much more when scrapped. I recently sold a nearly new phone and received just five dollars, which feels unfair. Overall, this machine is the only option I've encountered.
I appreciate being able to secure an amount online and receive that payment at the ATM. However, I was frustrated that I couldn't get my tablet evaluated because the charge port is positioned on the far left side, making it incompatible with their cable for evaluation.
The compensation isn't substantial, but if you're in a tough spot and have some unused phones, it could be beneficial. At the very least, you're engaging in responsible recycling. They do provide payment, though it's quite minimal, especially for older models, which typically yield a dollar or less. Overall, my experience has been positive. It's a good idea to look for a promo code beforehand to maximize your return.
