I've always had a great experience with EcoEnclose. More recently, I accidentally ordered an incorrect product, and needed to figure out how to return it. EcoEnclose made it VERY easy to figure out how to handle the return of the order. They sent a very detailed email, and it felt very human, which I appreciated. Great work EcoEnclose.
Really wanted to stick with this company given their mission and some of their products are good- e.g. paper "bubble" wrap alternative and paper tape. However, my problem with the company came when I attempted to move my packaging supplies to them from Uline in order to 'green' my shipping materials. I ordered a very simple box in the same dimensions that I have always ordered with Uline. The EcoEnclose boxes are so flimsy that they tear at all four corners of the top piece when folding shut which makes every order look bad and the integrity of the packaging is shot. When I contacted customer service with my issue they suggested that my cardboard boxes had expired. Besides the ridiculous notion that cardboard can 'expire,' I responded that the boxes are stored indoors in a climate controlled space and they were within one year of purchase. Their response was: may we help you place another order for boxes that better meet your needs? No offer of even a partial refund.
I recently ordered eco-friendly packaging from EcoEnclose and was honestly impressed with both the quality of the product and their commitment to sustainability. Shipping was fast, and everything arrived well-packed and in perfect condition. I spent a lot of time creating packages to be produced by this company. I was so excited to see my samples, which I paid for only to have them finally arrive as a bunch of blank, cheap cardboard boxes. I feel robbed of my time and money.
Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with my recent purchase. Up until then, I was very satisfied with EcoEnclose. This time, I tried to reorder the same boxes I've been ordering for my business for years, but their website changed and I was confused by the new ordering process. Coupled with that, I tried to hit the "reorder" button, which would have simplified things, but for whatever reason it wasn't working to import my previous orders. Long story short, I ordered the wrong material which was 23B strength instead of what I was ordering in the past - I'm not exactly sure what the previous strength was as this is a new feature when ordering. I received the new boxes and discovered the quality is no where near the quality of the previous boxes. These look horribly cheap and don't even line up properly when closing them. I spoke with someone at customer service who let me know it was my error and she could do nothing to assist me. Since I'm unable to return them and they are far below the standards I keep for my business I will be discarding them in the recycling bin. I take ownership that it was my fault for being confused with the new layout, but the inferior quality of these boxes is on EcoEnclose.
Sad to see the negative reviews here- my experience with EcoEnclose has been nothing short of wonderful. When confronted with the sad realization that I was sending out many hundreds of un-recyclable packages a year, I sought out a more eco-friendly solution. The recyclable padded mailers from EcoEnclose has served me and my customers extremely well. I have picked up my orders in person, but usually have them shipped as it is close to a 2hour round-trip drive for me to go pick them up. My pick-up and delivery experiences have all been perfect. About to place a re-order right now.
