UPDATE: I contacted the company about the loss of vacuum insulation and attached photos. It had no damage or dints. They sent me a new one free of charge. In their 100 year warranty it does say you might have to pay shipping, but they didn’t ask for that. The replacement holds ice from one day to the next—still ice! So I updated the rating to 5 stars since they honored the warranty without issue! This was my original review:I purchased the trimax insulated boulder a few years ago. I really like the strainer for tea since you can fill it with ice or anything and not have the ice suddenly fall into your mouth. After about 3 years the vacuum seal has gone and insulation is terrible—might as well be a non-insulated. The glue around the base has degraded and so it comes off too. You can see that on the metal base is where the disc is put to seal the vacuum—it hasn’t come off but does look degraded. The silicone mouthpiece on the boulder has also grown mould which is impossible to clean out and needs replacing. It was a really nice water bottle at first.
*UPDATE* 5 STARS I have had the Eco Vessels for 3 weeks now. I have to say the seal has broken in and seals like it should without any leaks and without having to tighten it like Superman. The bottles keeps ice and water all day without melting. From my experience now, I can recommend the Eco VesselTLDR: The screw on cap leaks unless you use the Superman tight. Which requires Superman to get it off.I bought two Eco Vessel Insulated bottles from a sporting goods store. Both have the same design with two caps "large and small" and a strainer. You remove the larger cap to pour liquid in and either cap to pour liquid out. I really liked this concept but the problem is, unless you go to the mega extreme to tighten down the larger cap the bottle will leak at that seal. This applies to both bottles.
I have purchased a eccovessel bottle for my grandson and he had been complaining it is hard to closed the bottle. After a little investigation i have found the o-ring seal has a manufacturing fault. I have contacted the company but nil reply yet. I will contact the Office of fair trading if i do not receive a reply within a week. So disappointed but i see this is mot new with eccovessel.
Meh. Purchased one 3.5 years ago & it was great, keeping the ice cubes solid for HOURS. Repurchased 2 bottles recently and the ice melted within an hour. Doesn’t keep the liquid cold for half as long. I will replace with a YETI. Disappointed.
The summit lids with the straw are TERRIBLE. I've purchased numerous and demanded 4 replacements. When the bottles are dropped on a hard surface while full of water (kids 4 & 5 drop things all the time) the lid breaks. Will be getting a different brand of water bottles now.
I have just purchased over $100 worth of goods on the proviso there was a ‘first order’ discount of 15% as advertised, only to realise after payment that they have gone and charged a ‘shipping fee’ which had been expressly waived during the checkout process but only prior to me applying the discount it would seem!! This type of sly behaviour is false advertising and it’s deceitful. If they’re cheating and cutting corners when making the sale, I’m worried about the quality of the products I’ve ordered. Having now read that their products are manufactured overseas in China as well, they’re not signs I’d associate with a quality product. I’m worried about my order.
