Review Time
I'm still waiting for an order placed on October 1, 2023. They keep telling me to wait, even though it shipped on October 4. When I requested a refund, they mentioned a restocking fee for an item I never received. Their customer service has really declined.
I received my generator on time, but upon unboxing, a part fell out. I urgently needed this generator for hurricane season. I sent pictures of the issue three days ago, but there's been no response. I just want a functioning generator. Their customer service needs improvement.
Electric Generators Direct has terrible customer service!!! They sent me two of the same items, cold air warmers, and one should have been an oil warmer. They wouldn't send me the right product, when asked to speak to manager, the lady who was speaking with me said the manager went into a meeting. I should have made my purchase locally. Beware, dont do business with these scammers.
Horrible customer service and poor communication. They broke the delivery up into separate shipping. Their shipping information was confusing. Delivered parts without signature to property where no one lives at and supposedly left it "curb side". No one is at the property so don't know if it was actually delivered. The idea of leaving a $6,000 generator on the side of the road at a vacant property does not sound smart to me. I would not deal with them again.
They absolutely screwed me over. The generator I bought was supposed to be delivered 12/8. It was then moved to 12/9. It never showed up, but records showed it was at a carrier facility 20 miles away. It wasn’t delivered the next day. Or the next. Finally I called the morning of 12/12 telling them to please deliver by end of day 12/13 because I was going out of town on 12/14. They said they couldn’t, but would store it for me till I got back in town. The Electric Generators contacted me stating that it was being returned to them and would refund my money, but keep $600 for shipping charges. They claimed I refused the delivery. I highly advise never doing business with them.
Awful! They offer "free shipping" and no where does it say they will leave it 300 FT away from the house at the bottom of a shared driveway. Apparently that's expected. DO NOT BUY from them. I would gladly return it and buy from a reputable place, but they will charge me to ship it back. Now I will need to hire someone to actually deliver it to my house and not block the shared driveway. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service. I wish I knew this up front. Never again, scammers!
I have ordered from Leaf Blowers Direct and Electric Generators Direct or just PED. They have always sent me quality products at very competitive pricing. When ordering especially during COVID 19, they clearly stated possible delay in shipping and normally showed being shipped in 5-7 days. I have always, so far received my orders in 2-3 days. I have even used their chat support and they were very helpful in answering all my questions. Even when not knowing answer right off, they always found answers for me. Much better luck than me dealing directly with manufacturers. I don’t understand why they receive such low ratings. PED Thank You! Keep up good work.
Sadly I canceled my order today.Up until this point you guys have come recommened and been good to work with. However...My order was lost weeks ago, and I had to follow up and call R & L to find out where it is, this is all weeks after ordering. After days of not finding it (lost on the dock I am told) you shipped me another generator. Now today…The delivery driver showed up (I stayed home from work to meet with the driver) and the unit is CRAZY damaged. I called customer service, talked with a very nice lady Nicole and after a LONG hold time, she will ship another unit to me, and give me $50 off for “my trouble” (this is after I asked, what they will do as a result of this hassel). Really $50 bucks. Then she stated... BUT… “if another issue happens we will not be able to assist you any longer”. LIKE THIS HAS BEEN MY PROBLEM???Sadly I canceled my order. How many more hours do you think I can spend on this? Do you really intend not to do more for your customer that has spent hours and hours trying to find, and be available for this shipment? “$50 for my trouble.”I am ordering a $7,000 generator, my time is very valuable and most people that can afford this "toy" aren't affected much by $50 bucks. I even offered to accept the damaged unit and not have you ship it back, and ship me a new one... But I would want a discount. Others need to know what a hassle this can be and my time is worth "$50 bucks to you guys" cause you can't get me the product I ordered?Sad.
