Really glad that someone stepped up and identified this huge market need, a wallet for Pakistani feeelancers so they can transfer their funds to their home country. I really like their deep integration and understanding of Pakistani freelancer requirements i.e. PRC issuance and proper purpose code 9186. I also like the fact that they are working with local banks and PSEB for also streamline this PRC issuance process.

Having used both Payoneer and WISE, I can say that it is so much better than Payoneer in terms of their fees and deductions. WISE still offers a better exchange rate than ElevatePay but the purpose code is not correct for Freelancing income. In short, I'd advise Elevate team to further strengthen the integration with banks for automated PRC issuance and most importantly match their rates with that offered by WISE. The exchange rate should also be the real exchange-rate and not include hidden fees.

Also, I'd advise ElevatePay to be careful with having DLocal as the payment partner. DLocal sometimes sends the payments through different channels that is not recognized as a remittance.
ElevatePay should have different payment partners and have proper agreements and compliance checks in place.

I have been using ElevatePay for more than a year. Initially, it worked well, but later they asked us to withdraw our funds as they were discontinuing their current banking partner and moving to a new one. As a result, my account was closed for almost six months. After that, my account became functional again, and I have been using it since then. So far, it has been working well. The only option I really need, which is still missing, is SWIFT transactions.

I use Elevate Pay for both personal and business purposes and have started receiving client payments for my services. The experience has been smooth and reliable, and zero receiving fees are a major advantage.

Customer support is excellent and far better than other platforms I previously used in Pakistan, such as Wise, where resolving issues was often difficult.

Suggestion: Adding debit cards, website integration, and payment links would make Elevate Pay more useful for freelance agencies like ours, where we guide clients through the account setup process while they complete all verification themselves. This helps avoid mistakes during the initial setup. Adding features such as multi-currency accounts, recurring payment automation, invoicing tools, and better API or website support would further improve flexibility and efficiency for professionals managing compliance and client account setups.

great cost effective option…

Elevate is a great option for receiving freelance payments at extremely competitive price compared to predatory alternatives like Payoneer which has been exploiting pakistanis for so long due to lack of competition (charging upto exorbitant 4-5% combined on incoming and outgoing)so we really need services like Elevate so as to reduce the cost of receiving money from abroad

Getting paid in USD in Pakistan

Getting paid in USD in Pakistan doesn’t give you many options, which often forces you to compromise. Before Elevate Pay, I was using Payoneer and faced PRC issues along with heavy fees. So far, my experience with Elevate Pay has been great. The fee is fixed and minimal, and they now also provide automated ePRC when you withdraw to Meezan Bank as salary.
