The student support at the campus is extremely disappointing. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are never returned, and the only way to get a reply is to visit in person. When approached, the staff casually mention, 'we just saw your email,' as if it is acceptable not to check or respond regularly. This ongoing lack of communication leads to significant issues, including delays in financial support and unnecessary stress. Many students are leaving due to the minimal assistance provided when they need it most. There is an urgent need for management to address the neglect and lack of responsibility within the student support team and to hire staff who genuinely want to assist students. This is entirely unacceptable for an educational institution.
The student support at the Birmingham campus is extremely poor. Emails are often ignored, phone calls go unanswered, and the only way to receive assistance is to visit the campus in person. When approached, staff casually mention, 'we just saw your email,' as if it is standard not to check or respond regularly. This ongoing lack of communication leads to serious issues, including delays in financial support and added stress for students. Many are leaving due to the lack of help when it is needed the most. Management must urgently investigate the neglect and lack of accountability within the student support team and hire staff who are genuinely willing to assist students. This is simply unacceptable for an educational institution.
For the past two weeks, I have been trying to report a scam at this university, but no one seems to care! All calls go to voicemail, and no agents respond, whether I call support or reception! If anyone from this institution contacts me, I would be glad to explain the situation, as I have evidence on my phone. Let's see if anyone will reach out for that.
My recent experience at the Leeds Campus, particularly with the Student Finance Support department, was quite disappointing. I encountered an unhelpful and dismissive attitude from the staff. Breaks seem to happen at random times, causing unnecessary difficulties for students needing assistance. On one occasion, I knocked on the office door just before 1:00 PM and was told they were on break. When I returned at 1:00 PM, a staff member opened the door but left for another break without any communication. As a student seeking support, I expected at least a basic level of courtesy. This behavior creates an unwelcoming atmosphere, making it hard to resolve important academic and financial issues. The Leeds Campus should pay more attention to the professionalism and accessibility of its student services.
As a student at this university, I completed the Foundation Year but faced significant stress due to unprofessionalism. The platforms used for results often show discrepancies. For instance, I had a good exam score on one platform but a failing grade on another. Calls and emails go unanswered. I cannot recommend this institution; it only leads to stress.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst university experience possible. The student support services are unhelpful, and the student success department is no better. I find myself in a ridiculous situation due to the unhelpfulness of the staff.
The location of the institution is the only positive aspect for students. However, the academic team (3 out of 5 members) seem incompetent in their subject knowledge and communication skills. The blame lies with the university that partnered with this college, prioritizing numbers over quality. I question the selection process for the academic staff, as students are required to take language tests. I wish the university would scrutinize the qualifications of those teaching the foundation year for the Business Management program. Many students struggle to communicate effectively. If it weren't for assistance tools, many would fail.
I urge others to avoid this institution due to severe neglect and zero academic support. Despite submitting necessary documentation on time, I was incorrectly marked as failing without being invited to any second exam. This caused immense distress. The Wellbeing Office confirmed receipt of my documents, yet they were ignored. I was left with failed modules due to administrative negligence. My complaint received no proper handling, with blame passed around instead of accountability. I felt like just a number and faced penalties due to their errors. If you value your mental health and academic success, steer clear of this institution.
