What made my experience excellent was learning the history from my tour guide Ahmed Mahgoul. He was very nice and knowledgeable about everything. I enjoyed being in the presence of cultures that are far superior in time. I don't take anything for granted. Good souvenir shops as well. Also, my host was a great photographer/director with pictures and videos. Highly recommend. Thank you Ahmed again for everything.
My Sakkara, Dahshur & Memphis Private Tour began well with driver and guide right on time. The Sakkara tour was great and informative but then at Dahshur and Memphis I was on my own as my guide seemed bored and tired. I ended up paying three separate guides/guards to explain what I was viewing.
At Sakkara I requested to see the tomb of Ty which he'd never heard of. Only when we stopped at the Serapeum (which he also stayed in the car and I paid a guide onsite) did I see the sign for Ty, hiked over and paid another guard. It was amazing and I would have missed it.
I tipped the driver, but the rest of the tip money went to the other guides. My guy was very upset. Next time I will hire a car and be driver for the day and use local guides.
The representative is exceptionally friendly and always willing to assist. He communicated promptly regarding the hotel pickup and kept us updated at every stage. During the trip, he graciously taught us some Arabic, enhancing the experience further. His driving was smooth and safe throughout, and he even provided snacks for us to enjoy. Truly a remarkable guide and driver!
Incredible adventure! We enjoyed a Nile cruise as well as a desert trip in a 4x4. The hotel pick-up was well organized, and we were fortunate to have an excellent guide for those two days. Traveling with our family, including two young children, we couldn't have asked for better service than what we received. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting the region.
Sumayyah was the guide of all guides. She was so caring and nurturing to me on my private tour. She even held my hand in busy areas and traffic - how kind! She bought me a drink too! Her knowledge of all the historic facts blew me away too! She didn’t rush me and said she will do what I feel I want. She took great photos too. She asked me beforehand if I was claustrophobic as inside the pyramid is a close space. This was kind of her to prepare me. We went to this cute lunch spot where the food was DELICIOUS! Only had to pay for drinks. However, this tour included a camel ride which I had paid for at checkout. Once on the camel, the person pulling him asked for a tip. I gave him 100EGP. He saw my money and said he wanted 5 200's aka 1000EGP. I caved and did but he kept asking are you happy and I said no. I said I had paid for the ride already. He asked how much back and I said 400EGP. I still felt pressured but I felt bad, which I shouldn't have. Apart from this, great tour!
Sumayyah was an exceptional guide, showing genuine care throughout my private tour. She even held my hand in crowded areas—such a thoughtful gesture! She treated me to a drink and her extensive knowledge of history was impressive. She allowed me to explore at my own pace, took fantastic photos, and checked if I was comfortable with the pyramid's tight spaces. We enjoyed a delightful lunch with only drinks to pay for. However, during the included camel ride, there was some pressure for a tip that I found uncomfortable. Despite this, the tour itself was fantastic!
