Equifax is miles behind the other ratings providers. The Equifax Mobile app/web pages are slow and archaic in design. Many of the functions don't work and the UX/UI is clunky. It was a waste of time to sign up, there was not really any information that I can't get for free elsewhere.
I don't know if the data is accurate or not, as I gave up waiting for the pages to load or for links to work. (Tested / Checked on different devices and IP addresses)
If I could give negative stars, you bet I would. What an utterly pointless company that only appears to be a scam to collect information. Based on the fact they were incapable of providing me the product they claimed they would, a credit report; I would say the statement I have made is true to the best of my knowledge. Complete palaver to even prove my identity because I don't have a utility bill... don't worry about the five forms of government issued documentation with photographs and addresses, nope, just keep asking for a utility bill (that is more easily faked anyway) and copy and pasting pointless nonsense into help tickets and emails. Over 28 days later and still no report. Don't worry about the fact that some people are waiting on these for purposes like loans and mortgages. You keep doing you, Equifax, you keep on gathering as much information on people as you can for whatever illicit purposes you are doing it for, selling it on maybe?
I was billed for this service for 8 months longer than necessary because of long wait times when trying to call. You can't cancel the account anytime or even online; it's only possible during specific hours. I was still charged for the last month after I canceled, despite not signing in at all that month. I feel completely taken advantage of and will NEVER use this service again. Additionally, I was charged for a family plan that didn’t work.
My credit score has decreased two days in a row, first by 93 points and then by 53. I've reduced my utilization, haven't taken on any new credit, and have no missed payments, so I'm unsure why this is happening. The electoral roll needs updating, but I was initially told my local council was behind, which isn't true. They also added a notice of correction that doesn't accurately reflect the situation. This isn't related to the annual canvass period since another agency already has the correct information. I have a mortgage application coming up, and I'm very concerned about how this will affect it.
I received a low credit score from the company, even though other agencies rated me highly. After creating an account to investigate and spending hours reviewing the report, I still couldn't determine the cause of my low score. I sought help from customer support, but their system is ineffective. While I confirmed there's no fraud and everything is fine on my end, I'm still left confused about the company's practices.
I received a low credit score from the company, while other agencies rated me highly. I created an account to investigate the issue, but after hours spent reviewing the report, no explanation was provided for my low score. I sought help from customer support, but their system is ineffective. At least I've ruled out fraud and confirmed everything is fine on my end.
Disappointing experience, as they couldn't correctly identify my address initially, do not respond to emails, and have very short phone support hours. I had to manually enter all my credit history since they couldn't locate it in their system.
I signed up for the 30-day premium trial. The information is comprehensive but not worth the monthly fee. The website is hard to navigate, and I was surprised to find there’s no app. The login process is frustrating with too many verification emails, which is quite irritating.
