This used to be the go-to software, but now, it's overcomplicated and too busy. The price has gone up, and the quality and service have gone down. I renewed my subscription because i have old stuff that I want to keep, and they had a special offer of 40% off, so they charged me the reduced price, but didn't tell me their offer didn't include VAT so I got charged £38.94, then, they also charged me the list price of £77.24 which I never agreed to pay, customer service was unavailable. I emailed them and they said they would getback to me within a few days, but this should never have happened. A duplicated debit, and no immediate refund

Should change name to ‘Nevernote’. They were amazing when they started out, but they’ve jacked up their prices through the ceiling and now they want me to pay $249/year for what they used to charge I think $35 when I started? I could literally get the same thing free on Google?

I’m literally gonna have to export all my files and ditch Nevernote. It’s a shame, cause I really liked them and now I hate them ☹️ Thanks a lot Timothy Ferriss!!!

Evernote bugs as hell

Evernote bugs as hell. It doesn't open properly in browsers all the time, requires repeated logins regardless of how many times you save passwords.I pay for it, and for months I've been trying to solve the latest bug:It COMPLETELY changes formats from a simple notepad text, ignoring skipped lines, changing symbols over all the text.Suggested features (ctrl+shift+v) didn't solve my problem at all.Now my last ticket (#4351934) has been CLOSED without any reponse. I've lost the chance to migrate to Notion the last year, but this year I will certainly.Don't use this awful thing.

I've used Evernote for probably over 15 years. Once they were bought out by Bending Spoons their subscription price has skyrocketed. This coming year they quoted me ~$350 CDN a year. Absolutely ridiculous ! Fortunately I still had their legacy version of Evernote on my desktop computer and was is able to export their ENEX files, and import over 150 folders, and 5000 notes in Apple Notes. Took me two nights.Their web based app does not allow you to export files, I suspect that's their way of keeping people's data hostage. Adios Evernote !!

charged without logging in to account

I've used Evernote for about 15 years first on my BlackBerry, then on Windows and Android. It used to be great. As the app grew heavier and more complicated, syncing problems began when versions of notes on different platforms didn't match. But today a buddy asked me to pay for his subscription because he cannot pay out from Russia. So I chose a plan and entered my PayPal address only to find out that Evernote has charged me without logging in to the account. That's insane. Eventually, I figured that they've credited a random account I created weeks ago for testing purposes. But I never logged in to that account today. I didn't even had the app on my phone. They just assumed. Their official PayPal email for complaints doesn't work. This is a joke of a company. Every single app or service eventually becomes bad, especially after a buyout or going public.

Aggressive with their pricing

Aggressive with their pricing. Too greedy. Plenty of note taking apps out there. Tried to raise the price to $240/yr.
