Impossible to use. There is no contact details - Only a 'write to us' - the contact page opens automated answers. The website is super misleading 'Download the app for immediate access to the report' - guess what, that's not true.

There are mistakes in the report, like a mispelling of the name and still can't get in touch with Experian about it.

They are so slow, average 2 months behind and if they make a mistake it’s takes 2 more months to correct. The sad part is, everyone is using them to judge your progress and your credit score/ credibility

Over the past few years I’ve had ongoing issues trying to resolve duplicated credit entries on my file. What should have been a straightforward correction process became unnecessarily difficult and protracted.

The primary issue is the lack of meaningful human engagement. You are funnelled through automated systems, scripted responses and chat-based support where representatives appear constrained by rigid workflows rather than empowered to properly investigate nuanced disputes. When dealing with something as serious as credit file accuracy, that approach is frustrating and, frankly, inadequate.

Experian presents itself as a consumer-facing credit reference agency helping individuals understand and improve their credit profile. However, much of the platform is geared toward credit product comparison and brokerage. The commercial model appears increasingly focused on directing users toward credit products via affiliate arrangements.

That in itself isn’t inherently wrong — but it does create a perceived conflict. When you are actively disputing incorrect data, the priority should be accuracy and resolution, not nudging users toward “improving” their score through new credit applications.

In my experience, the dispute resolution process lacks transparency, ownership and accountability. It feels transactional rather than investigative.

For a company that plays such a significant role in individuals’ financial reputations, the standard of customer engagement and dispute handling should be materially higher.

Instead of apologising and solving the issue my DBS Check which was already completed has been blocked leaving me with no work that I supposed to start today losing my wages. My agency held my contract up.
Why don't we have a straight forward government department rather than these kind of third parties operating?
What is this Experian company, who owns it and what power do they hold over our personal information?

I noticed on check my file that I was reported to experian and trans union by an insurance company 1st centerm. I contacted 1st center and they say they have nothing to do with me. I reported experian that that data is not good and in response they say that they contacted 1st center and they confirmed that the data is good. What you write in reports you do not check or ask for evidence. so , credibility 0.00

Keeping my made up Personal Data supplied by the third party company without checking, or confirming with me. Now, I receive letters addressing me with my wrong name that I never used before.
It's GDPR violation and defaming a person's identity.

Easy to contact and always a reliable service with prompt responses and excellent communication. I contacted Experian as something didn’t look right on my credit score and they investigated in a very professional and neutral manner and the inaccuracy was corrected promptly upon investigation. Very pleased with its service.

first of all I would like to thank you Experian. I cant remember of whom I spoke to but I was very concerned about my credit score and if anyone else was trying to use my credit score but the gentleman that I spoke to insured me that there was nothing to be worried about and explained to me how the new scoring improves credit scores instead of underscoring it. Thank you Experian

Experian provides a clear and easy-to-use platform for checking and understanding my credit report. The process of adding a Notice of Correction was straightforward, and the information is presented in a way that’s simple to follow. It’s been helpful in keeping track of my credit history and staying on top of my financial progress. Overall, a reliable and useful service.

Lack of Communication from Support

Received an email on 7th January stating, 'I’m forwarding your query to the relevant department. They will reach out to you.' As of 16th January, there has been no follow-up from that department, yet I am being prompted to review their service!
