Review Time
This is absolutely atrocious. It's legit false advertising to the extent that a class action lawsuit should be filed against them. It is the most dysfunctional app I have EVER used. The fact that this can exist in 2022 from an organisation that earns BILLIONS each year is mindblowing. You cannot as a streaming service have a broken stream when you're paying for the best option they offer. How can you possibly allow this to happen? The last 7 races I've watched (seasons '21 & '22) has been the most frustrating viewing experiences I've ever had.I generally am not able to watch qualifying or races live but I usually start watching about 30 minutes to an hour later. I don't know if this is the cause for all these issues, but when I watch the streams (F1 Live or the International tab) the stream randomly pauses for a second, drops in quality and then proceeds to skip ahead between 5-30minutes during a race. This behavior happens throughout the stream and I have to manually rewind. Only for it to happen a few minutes later, so, if nothing else, thanks for the spoilers!!I cannot believe that this is the reality. For real.. How the *(insert every single curseword imaginable)* can you make a service this subpar? And no, this isn't some kind of device malfunction. I have tried this repeatedly during the last months on a plethora of devices such as; iPhones, Androids, iPads, Macbooks, an Acer laptop, a homebuilt desktop powerhouse, with all different kinds of browsers or straight through the application on a variety of different software versions at different locations with a change in wired or wi-fi connections and its the same damn issue everytime. EVERYTIME!The simple fact that I get more race infotainment from the F1 YouTube highlights video than your own f**king stream, should tell everyone how abhorrent your service is. Please dont ever subscribe to this. It is unforgiveable.Screw you F1, money-gouging *****.
Lousy resolution during F1 livestream on the F1 tv pro app, during F1 races, drops several times even to the lowest resolution and if you complain they always reply that it's your internet connection or your device's that's causing it. Bull **** I tried it on several device's and it's always the same
Video is much better this year but sound quality remains pretty awful with compression artefacts causing crackling. Edit from original review, when I changed from Chrome to Firefox browser, the sound improved noticeably to now acceptable. The commentary is mediocre. I wish they still used the audio feed from Sky, which apart from Anthony Davidson constantly saying: "good point; well made" and some howlers from David Croft, is good. For pit lane commentary, Ted Kravitz is better than Sam Collins, whose technical knowledge is good but frenetic delivery is irritating.
Its a scam. Subscribed to f1tv to avoid the Hamilton bias sky f1 team. When trying to get the live stream on f1tv it turned out that they didnt actually stream the race live. Having signed up for “F1 TV Access” I got “F1 Replay Access” now I have to keep listening to the crap sky commentary.
I don't get why liberty media sucks so hard ass. Anno 2022 still no working app on all android TV's. Right now I'm trying to watch practice 2 of Miami via my laptop on TV because ???? They sucks ass. No f***** sound???? Get your stuff together !!!!
