Dianah arranged a perfect trip for our group. 6 old friends with a crazy idea to go on safari knowing nothing about it! She arranged wonderful lodging, fantastic tours/game drives, and easy transfers. Exceeded all expectations! Highly recommend, trip of a lifetime!
It was our second trip in two years and like the first was well managed. We had a great time and even brought our daughter who also enjoyed the trip immensely. The accommodations were very nice and the guides went above and beyond! Would highly recommend them.
I recently returned from a trip to Kenya with Fair Trade Safaris, and I can honestly say it was a profound and life-changing experience. From start to finish, the entire trip was flawlessly organized and exceeded all of my expectations. While I don't remember the specific names of all the lodges, the accommodations were superb. Each place felt like a resort, with a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing after a full day of game drives. The wildlife viewing was simply incredible. We had so many memorable sightings, including a rhino with her baby, majestic elephants, and a lion. The absolute highlight was getting to witness multiple crossings of the Great Migration—a truly breathtaking spectacle that you have to see to believe. I was left with a profound sense of awe at the sheer number of animals, both big and small, that we saw.A huge part of what made this trip so special were our two guides. They were not only incredibly friendly and welcoming, but also so knowledgeable about the animals, the ecosystem, and the culture. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience, and their passion for what they do was infectious. What makes Fair Trade Safaris truly stand out is their mission. I was particularly impressed to learn that they are a socially conscious company that donates 100% of their profits to wildlife conservation and community development initiatives. This commitment made the experience even more meaningful, as it felt like my trip was directly contributing to a greater purpose.I truly wish everyone could have the opportunity to go on a trip like this. I highly recommend Fair Trade Safaris to anyone looking for a truly authentic and unforgettable adventure with a purpose.
This is our second safari with Fair Trade. As before, this was a 5 star experience. Simply, it's plug and play. Meaning, we gave them our party size, the ages of the people traveling, the number of days we would be in Africa, and what we wanted to experience. They created an itinerary and a complete package. Once we landed, we had nothing to worry about: everything was taken care of and we had not a worry in the world. The logistics (lodging, travel, food, staff, etc) were perfect and everything went as planned. Most importantly, Fair Trade staff were available anytime. I highly recommend using Fair Trade for your safari. Not only are they organized and deliver on their promises, they also donate all their profits to the local people on the ground. That is very important.
Fair Trade Safaris helped plan our trip to Africa during May 20-June 3, 2025. We were very pleased with them. From the assistance putting together our itineraries, to the quality of the lodging, tours, etc., we were exceptionally happy with them. Not only did they help guide our planning, they stayed in touch with us throughout the trip to ensure everything was proceeding smoothly. Also, they went above and beyond to help us resolve an issue that arose with having our wine shipped to the US from one of our stops. For anyone planning to go to Africa to enjoy the scenery, wildlife, wine region, etc., I would highly recommend Fair Trade Safaris.
This is the second time we have used Fair Trade Safaris for our South African adventures. And once again, it was PERFECTION! The lodging, guides, coordination, experiences, drivers, flights, etc were organized perfectly and everyone went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. I am in the airport, on my way home, writing this review…and simultaneously emailing Fair Trade Safaris to plan our next trip.
We were a party of 10 and Fair Trade Safaris (FTS) coordinated a video call before we left to ensure we knew what to expect and what to bring. From the airport transfers, hotels and guides themselves we could not have asked for a better experience. Our guides especially were tireless, committed to showing us the best experience possible, and educating us on the history, animals, people and the land itself. I highly recommend FTS.
We travel often and like to plan our own trips, but when trying to figure out where to begin with an African safari, we knew we would need expert advice. We were drawn to Fair Trade Safaris based on their commitment to African animal conservation and to the local communities. We chose Tanzania in order to see the Great Migration in June and July. Our family of four (two teenagers) first visited Tarangire National Park, a gem with beautiful baobab trees and animals left and right. Elephants were especially prolific. Next was the Ngorongoro Crater which is an absolute necessity in any Tanzanian itinerary. The landscape was stunning and the animals were mesmerizing. The Ngorongoro Farm House was among our favorite stays with delicious food and inviting accommodations. We then visited Serengeti National Park and stayed in the Kati Kati tented camp which was so authentic and the people were so nice and engaging. The food was tasty and we enjoyed “glamping” with giraffes and zebras right outside our tents. Finally, we visited western Serengeti and saw the Great Migration. It was so moving and unbelievable, there were even some tears shed! It’s exactly as you see it on National Geographic. Josephat, our fabulous guide, was several notches above other guides. He spotted animals in trees far away that we couldn’t see without binoculars. He even had to show other tour guides where animals were hiding on many occasions. One day he talked with other tour guides that were searching for a group of cheetahs seen earlier in the day by other guides. He used his knowledge of their behavior and searched in a few remote spots and found the group of five cheetahs. We met other tourists at the hotel that night that asked if we ever found the cheetahs and we replied in the affirmative. They were disappointed because their tour guide never found them. Thank you to Dianah and Saurabh for helping us with our itinerary and logistics. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit Africa again. Sincerely, Eric, Gwen, Jenna and Caroline Peterson
