Review Time
Fraudulent image viewer that shows "X of X" images (for example, Image "2 of 20"), but when you scroll, the amount of images remaining in the library increases. This appears to be an intentionally fraudulent UI design that encourages infinite scrolling.3 out of 5.
Absolutely horrible website. Abusive admins and even worse; cult-like users EVERYWHERE. They pretend to be social justice Warriors while acting like terrorists. Every Wikipedia page I have seen on this website has either devolved into:1. Childish screaming and pure hatred.2. An echo chamber of admin abuse.Don't believe me? Go to any wiki and say something controversial. Watch all the users hate-gang all over you like they have a hive-mind. Keep your children away from this pile of trash. This website and the users that permeate it disgust me. Worse than 4chan or Reddit by far. There's so many whiny arrogant children on this website that most of these wikis are dead because nobody wants to deal with these horrible people. If you use this website on a daily basis you should get some help because it will destroy your sanity. I deactivated my account today because I don't want to deal with constant harassment and hate speech anymore.
Had an unpleasant discussion with a wiki representative named KuroUrufu regarding the possibility to retrieve some content from a wiki I once owned. This person made up rules to justify the removal of my administrator rights and looked down upon me for the entire discussion only because I wasn't active anymore on my wiki (which was because I was disappointed by how other staff members behaved, by the way) and because I criticized FANDOM, also telling I wasn't interested in using their service anymore nor was I interested in helping other people use it.The final straw was being told to disconnect from the internet and just "go for a walk or something"; this after I told him I was feeling uncomfortable by how he was treating me with his replies. This says a lot about how the members of the staff from FANDOM operate, their initial politeness is just a mere façade while they are only interested in doing what they want with your wiki, whenever they feel like it.And you better not have anything to say to them about how they operate, otherwise they will quickly get angry at you if you dare criticize their service, showing extreme childness and immaturity. To make matters worse, I sent an e-mail to FANDOM's customer service about this whole situation. As of today, a week later, they still didn't reply.Users for FANDOM are just statistics they use to decide if a wiki is profitable enough to keep open or not and their claim of hosting a place where everyone is friendly and everyone is welcome is a lie.Update: FANDOM staff eventually replied informing me they warned KuroUrufu about the behaviour, but they ignored all my demands for a personal apology from KuroUrufu. Once I called them out for not having really told anything to KuroUrufu, they just closed the request as solved and left the feedback open for a very short time, I think to limit the possibility to receive the negative feedback they deserved.Take from that what you will, regarding how the staff acts regarding complaints against the staff themselves and how transparent they are.Update # 2: a further request for an apology was left without any replies from them for months, and eventually was closed, with request for feedback sent to me anyway even if they did nothing.A third request was answered more than two months after I sent it. This time the FANDOM staff member Steve told me the matter has been taken care of and that if I was offended by them in any way to accept their apologies. After asking for personal apologies again, I was informed that it couldn't happen, while further questioning why that couldn't happen resulted in Steve getting angry and saying the ticket was going to be closed wether I accepted the "indirect apology" (as stupid as this sound, this is actually the words Steve used) or not.Steve also mentioned how they couldn't waste time replying to me since they have thousands of users to assist, like all they did lately was assisting me. Steve also pointed out how two managers defended their positions, basically admitting that even the indirect apology was fake and a mere attempt to make me think they were kind and helpful while it is obvious it was all a farce from the start. This proves they don't care if users feel insulted by their staff members, because their managers will support bad behaviour instead. If you accept their fake apologies, then all is good but if you insist in asking why a real apology can't be had then FANDOM staff will get angry and lose the facade of kindness and helpfulness they tried to use before.Stay away from this service, the bad users are bad enough but the staff themselves being this arrogant and two-faced is not something that you should support in any way.
For all his complaints about users who follow the letter of the law but not it’s spirit in their contributions to the wiki, Milo Squad has persistently done the same in his interactions with them. And of course, as long as the ad revenue keeps pouring in, Fandom’s staff will happily sit on their hands and do nothing about an actual problem.
