Booked a flight for 2 totaling $403 (including fare and all fees). I later received an email that my booking was placed on hold and to call Farehutz support. In calling support, I was told that it was a promotional fare by the airline and only one of us was able to be booked and that for the second passenger to receive a seat, the total would be ~$950. I told them I would find another way and to remove the 2nd passenger (who was not confirmed) - to which I was told even the first passenger ticket was now $479 (so did not receive promotional pricing). When I said to cancel both reservations, I was told that since the first passenger was already confirmed, I would lose the full balance if cancelled. After fighting with support, I eventually got both tickets refunded, but the whole experience felt like bait and switch and was very predatory. There was no transparency around actual pricing and I was somehow "confirmed" for a seat that was more than double what I should have paid
