Review Time
When I called for a quote I asked the question regarding how much I would be charged for call out. I asked this to determine how much I would be charged I was told £49.50 for the labour, this would increase if the job needed parts and the investigation uncovered additional work. The engineer took the door apart, called in and got a quote for £450. Said I can't do today to then which was told there was a £99 assessment fee on top of the labour fee. Essentially a Call Out fee just rebranded in another name. Am I paying labour for him to assess - I'd say so, and therefore why am I paying the Assessment Fee which was not disclosed up front. Less than transparent. Called to discuss. Then cut off and now unable to get back through. Will take the business elsewhere. Disappointed!
1 star is too much for this cowboy outfit. Unfortunately, locksmiths aren't regulated which allows these types of companies to operate. They charged close to £500 to drill through an old lock (as an emergency) and fit a new one but had to have them back a month later to repair as lock falling off. The repair job was dreadful and I wish I could upload photos here. The person doing the work was totally unpleasant and demanded the work was ok. Lesson learned, only use MLA affiliated locksmiths. I will be complaining again to try to get someone compitant to leave the house safe.
They are scammers ! They do unnecessary drilling to locks to overcharge service. Then a new barrel is also required and they charge hundreds of pounds. They also charge VAT and not even a VAT registered business.When you contact them they put phone down or call you stupid via email.I have reported them to citizens advice / local MP and Trading Standards.
