the trip was put together by Firebird, and it was a great trip for our vacation. they were excellent in explaining the tour and making any chances. while on the tour they had great customer service if u get lost or cannot find your tour guide.

The experience was very good. The hotels could’ve been a bit better. The guides were good, except for the one we had in Rome on our first day when we spoke with him about the issues he came back rather abruptly and somewhat unprofessional. The transportation was great in fact over the top. It was a great trip that I would recommend to other people.
Firebird set us up with fantastic tours and tour guides. The hotels they recommended were first class and very comfortable. The drivers who did the transfers were exceptional and polite. Firebird made our vacation very enjoyable and worry free,
Customer service goes above and beyond from first planning to interactions during the trip. The peace of mind of travel and guided tours of places and things in country are also a great experience. We will definitely be utilizing Firebird for future travels internationally.
I researched tour companies as we began to plan our retirement trip to Italy. We were ok with booking our own flights, having free time to explore on our own by not having morning to night tour guidesJulie was a great help. She asked what we for sure wanted to see and sent a preliminary schedule. We reviewed it including the hotels chosen. We book ended our 9 day tour with a visit to Switzerland and two extra days in Rome and then 4 days in Sicily to visit a friend. Julie and the staff were very responsive and even helped us get by train from Lucerne to Venice without having to change trains in Milan. Even though our tour had ended we were still provided car service to Rome Airport. Our group could have been 15. But ended up being 7. All of us were about the same age and ability. I have seen complaints about tour guides but all of ours were great. Did some provide too much info - sure, some had thicker accents than others- but all gave us informative and fun tours. For the price and not having the hassle of taxis from transport hubs to hotel- I believe we got great value. The hotels were lovely boutique hotels in the historical city. Everything on this tour went according to plan with all the details taken care of. Firebird Tours made this an amazing travel experience for us. Given the complexity of our itinerary, it was amazing that it went so smoothly. All we had to do was follow the well explained plan and enjoy! It took a bit of a leap of faith to hand over our money in advance to a company in a foreign country we had no previous experience with. after the trip, I can honestly say that we made a great decision to go with Firebird Tours. We are grateful, and would recommend them without hesitation.
The Firebird App was very useful . It had all the information that was needed. The more detail provided the better. Firebird needs to review all their info before submitting to hotels so right names are on the reservations. When ordering transfers take into account the # of days traveling. This will ensure that the right size vehicle is sent. We ended up paying for another cab to get to the airport and the car would only hold one suitcase in the trunk - not cool since there were two people traveling.
