After reading all the great reviews I decided to take a punt an order a pair of specs. I've never purchased prescription glasses online before so wasn't expecting great things. Good job that didn't get my hopes up. The frames feel flimsy. They don't look anything like they did when I virtually tried them on (massive and make me look like Penfold from danger mouse). I sent my recent prescription and had my pupillary measurement done correctly before I ordered. The specs that arrived are not the right prescription (too weak), and there's a blurred area in my peripheral vision which is annoying.
The website said order would arrive in 5-7 working days, but when I'd confirmed payment I got an email saying it would be 4-6 weeks - it was in fact a little less than this.
I'm glad the glasses were cheap because they aren't worth anything really. I won't be ordering from Firmoo again, and have already shared my experience with friends who were waiting to find out how I got on before giving them a try.
I'm in 2 minds about Firmoo's glasses. I ordered one pair for long distance which were perfect, so I decided to buy 2 more pairs. One with my reading prescription and the other long distance again. They arrived and I love the frames, but they were both long distance which was really disappointing. I checked that I'd entered the 2 separate prescriptions and I had. So although I really like the frames - i won't be buying from them again.
I was so impressed with the after salesteam at Firmoo. When glasses weren't what I was expecting, Firmoo were quick to offer me a generous full refund or exchange, two fantadtic options.
I opted for an exchange, and was send a voucher code for the full cost within the hour - at the week end too!
Great range of funky, different frames, but something for everyone.
