£25,000 Garden Room – Leak Within 18 Months
I purchased a £25,000 garden room which developed a serious leak within 18 months of installation. The issue was caused by a gutter installed too high, allowing water to enter the roof and leak through the light fittings.
The company provides a 10-year warranty. Fitrite attended once, adjusted the gutter, and then attempted to close the case. I was told to “let the room dry out,” despite no inspections, no moisture readings, and no remedial work being carried out. This is completely unacceptable for a structure of this value.
I repeatedly requested a proper inspection under the warranty, but my emails were ignored. When I spoke to Amanda, she was rude and unprofessional, and thereafter communication ceased entirely. They have refused to investigate the damage properly and are attempting to base their decision on assumptions rather than facts.
This is poor workmanship, poor-quality materials, and extremely poor customer service. They were quick to take my money but are now failing to honour their warranty obligations.
As a result, I am escalating this matter to the Ombudsman and am prepared to pursue legal action if necessary. There is clear consumer legislation and contractual protection in place, yet this company continues to ignore it.
I strongly advise others to do thorough research before dealing with this company. I wish I had.

We had a new conservator roof fitted by Lee and Mick from Fitrite, from start to finish they were brilliant, they talked us through every stage of there work , and worked very hard in all conditions, the quality f the finish is first class , they were on time ,polite , and respectful of our home , we would recommend them 100%.
Delighted with our decking. Lee and Mickey our gang have been amazing from start to finish offering advice from the outset, they've worked tirelessly and always with a laugh and a smile, great guys and excellent team work. Slight delay on parts arriving but still finished within 2 weeks of initial enquiry and good communication throughout from Amanda in the office and Mark who did our quote. Thank you all, I'm sure we will enjoy our decking for many years to come.

Recently had Fitrite fit our garden decking. From the initial visit from Dan, who drew a plan, making sure all our requests were covered. The guys arrived on site and were polite and respectful. They were happy to make certain adjustments to the plan at our request.The finish was excellent all mitre joints true, before signing off the area we had a few snags that needed addressing which was dealt with in a prompt and professional manor. While Fitrite are not the cheapest on the market, you cannot question the workmanship and quality of materials. I highly recommend this company if quality of finish is high on your list.
We had a raised patio built with storage underneath. The communication between lee / chalky the builders was excellent. The standard of workmanship and finish was brilliant. Excellent communication from firm over any delays. Highly recommend
Had Fitrite composite decking fitted in 2024, and late last year The Fitrite team replaced my old conservatory roof with an Isotherm solid roof.What a great job. The lads were really super, fuelled on regular cups of coffee and the odd buttie, they worked tirelessly, in horrific weather, to replace my roof. Their attention to detail was great and they didn't leave any mess either. Very considerate workers. The end result is superb. I love it! The room feels warm and cosy and we are utilising it even on the coldest of days.So pleased I invested in this change, and I strongly recommend Fitrite and all the team from the Sales team, the QS gentleman , the installation boys and all the customer care staff. A special thank you to Amanda Grange for being "the glue" throughout the entire process and Dave for the after care.
I decided on fitrite after many days deliberation from scouring the web and reading countless reviews. My existing wooden decking if you could call it that , , was literally falling apart , , after 10 years from being installed, we face south so in the summer get the sun all day which is lovely , but it takes its toll on the woodwork . The other consideration was having to apply stain protection every year, I tried products from different companies some stating it would not need to be applied again for 5 years great, but in reality the weather took it’s toll and out again would come out the stain! . I was working full time, so it was my precious weekend time that was interrupted! So again me and the decking would get painted!, and while it continued to look presentable I continued with this process every year , and to be honest hating every moment of it!. So looked into how I could make my life easier, and a form of plastic decking would be the answer . The cost would be considerably more but after weighing up the pros and cons thought this was the answer to this annual headache! So finally got the ball rolling. I knew it was the right choice almost immediately as fitrite oozed professionalism from inception, their attentiveness and attitude was reassuring and an appointment was made for their planner to visit. I envisioned getting several quotes before proceeding, but after liaising with Mark their representative who visited , decided there and then to go ahead with the project., after dwelling on the many colours and configurations of these together , made my/ our choice 🤯, as their were so many to choose from! . Thought I was all set to go , then my better half would inject and I was back to the choose state again 🫣, but did finally get there in the end. Mark would go away and check availability of our! choices and to schedule a date for installation. We were contacted a short time after and fitters arrived promptly on 8/12/2025. I’d asked fitrite to remove and dispose of the old decking and this was completed in no time at all as it had given up on being part of our garden long before I wanted it to 😭. And apart from making them coffees I let them crack on, as part of the process a completely new foundation base was installed and built upon and before I new it the doorbell sounded and was told they were finished, thinking it’s because the light was fading. No all done! WOW when I went to the garden I was blown away! This beautiful new enhancement stood before me unimaginably outweighing my expectations, don’t think I ever made a more rewarding purchase apart from “Roxy” my car, but that’s a different story! Would recommend this company wholeheartedly 💯%, and carn’t thank them enough for their support and dedication with this project.👏🏻WP1
The removal of our old and rotten timber decking and replacement with a similar version in UPVC was carried out by Fitrite extremely efficiently from start to finish. It started with a visit from designer Dan who informed us of all the various alternatives and their benefits and drawbacks. He gave us a very competitive price with no hard-sell whatsoever.The very friendly and competent fitters, Lee and Chalkie, made a fantasting job of installing the new decking, engaging with us constantly to ensure that we got the deck we wanted, and coping very well with the minor changes that were made to the design along the way. After four days they left us with an amazing new decking, with the site clean and tidy. We thoroughly recomment this company.
