The books are very nice, they are nicely produced. Some other fine print publishers create higher quality, but they cost so much that it's scary to actually read them. Folio Society strikes the right balance - these are very nicely produced books for day-to-day reading. Only one gripe - the boxes. They look and feel cheap and don't really add to the experience, not sure why they are even there, I might just throw them away.
I had been unable to obtain a book/diary that was out of stock, after telephoning the customer service they were very helpful they took my details and the book was sent as soon as it came back into stock. The gentleman I dealt with was most helpful, very pleased with their assistance. The Folio Society in my opinion are old school efficient! Thanks again- Gloria
The service uses a delivery provider that left my books at the entrance of my building, making them vulnerable to theft. As someone with M.E., I had to rely on a friend to retrieve them. Paying £9.99 for shipping, I expected delivery to my door. When I reached out for assistance, the response was simply an apology and a reminder that I received my books. This was not the level of service I anticipated. I won't be purchasing again until they switch delivery providers. While the books themselves are wonderful, the overall experience was disappointing.
The books were a gift for my daughter, and she adored them. Although delivery took longer than expected, I emailed and received a quick response the next morning explaining the delay due to a busy shopping period. I was assured my order would arrive soon, which it did within 48 hours. Exceptional customer service – I will definitely be ordering again.
I placed two orders on specific dates and have yet to receive any shipping updates. Why is there a $25 shipping fee if it doesn't expedite the process? These are Christmas gifts, and next time I will look elsewhere. If the shipping fee is so high, the service should be faster. They don't even offer gift wrapping, which feels like an unnecessary extra charge.
The two Bond books were a gift for my husband and he was absolutely thrilled with them. The books are beautifully illustrated and have impressive smart looking slip cases. Of course now he needs the whole set and I need a new bookcase to display them! Easy to use website with simple ordering and books came packaged very carefully to ensure no damage.
Very easy to find the book that I wanted and to check what it looked like via the website, I was able to purchase the item securely and I received the item with a few days.The book is stunning and amazing with glorious pictures, hard backed and in a book cover and a lovely edition to add to my collection of Christmas Carol books I have. This one is the gem of my collection.
