I requested a Freename logo for a project, and Randerson from support responded quickly with a clean copy via email. The turnaround was fast, the response was clear, and the service was precisely what support should be—efficient, no friction, and helpful. Appreciate the precision and speed.
they were patient with me, i know alot about hardware and building computers, when it is about software OS's and solutions to clean computers but networking oh damn this is not my cup of tea but they answered me to the stupidiest question someone could ask and were polite i will buy my domain from them
Just had a purchase on a web2 and mirrored to web3 and also purchased a web3 domain. What made freename standout was despite of my small knowledge to web3 every question however, stupid or common was answered with at most respect, and also their tutorial videos are clean and simple to understand.
Scam company. If you buy a tld you do not get access to the smart contract. They expect you to buy the tld and then pay for every address you want to mint on your own tld.. avoid at all cost. .. update: they just replied to my review saying if you buy a TLD you get full control. That is a lie.. I fought with this company for months trying to get access to the resolver and smart contract. They did not give me full access to the product I bought. Avoid at all cost.
Cris, was the wonderful human that I was in communication with via the live chat on their website this evening. Im an exquisitive little bean, so he got a bunch of questions sent his way. All were answered fully in detail, including being offered options for consulting in regards to trademarking a Web3 domain. With the pricing framework and an email to contact for organising an app. Heaps of information around where to do further Research and sent links. Overall just so impressed and grateful for his time and knowledge. Thanks bud x
I'm old school and don't understand much of this modern technology, but I wanted to get in on the ground floor of this web 3 technology. I purchased a couple tlds from free name and ran into problems minting them. I put in a support ticket and Siful answered within a few minutes helping me to resolve the issues.
I decided to give Freename a try instead of one of my usual registrars, and it turned out to be a massive mistake. I’m trying to launch a small business on a shoestring budget, and their low domain registration price initially seemed like a good deal. Unfortunately, I discovered too late that something as basic as domain forwarding isn’t even available.Because of this, the domain I paid for is essentially being held hostage. I can’t transfer it to a full-featured registrar like GoDaddy for another two months, and the only other option would be to pour more time and money into moving to an entirely different hosting platform — which would mean rebuilding my website from scratch. At this point, I may just have to bite the bullet, go to a real domain registrar, and pay for a year’s registration of a .net version of my domain so I can move forward. From the moment I registered the domain, my DNS settings page has shown this warning:“Using external name servers limits the feature set and domain integration Freename can provide. Services like email redirection, websites and more will not be available for this domain until you switch to Freename's DNS servers. Learn more about DNS in our Knowledge Base.”This message makes no sense because I never changed any name servers. To make matters worse, the “Knowledge Base” link just loops back to the DNS settings page, providing zero helpful information. When I reached out to customer service, they were not helpful at all. They never addressed why the DNS warning appears in the first place and essentially told me to go pay for another hosting service instead, because they don’t offer something as basic as domain redirection. If you’re thinking of using Freename to save a few dollars, don’t. It’s not worth the frustration or the wasted time.
