they make it soo hard to cancel and the only way is by calling them or writing a letter. it's really scam like to not have a cancel option. once i got someone on the phone they tried to get me off it till i really insisted really hard that i wasn't going to hangup and call latter then she became very helpful and overall the phone service was really good.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.Do not trust this company. Free Mobile charges fees without prior authorization, and when you contact customer service to dispute them, they tell you to send a letter by post (with very long delays), while forcing you to pay immediately because they suspended your line.Yes, their plans are cheaper, but they don’t hesitate to overcharge and use questionable practices.Very bad experience. I strongly do not recommend.
I really wonder who in their right kind put more than 1 star. Inexistent customer service. Only a paying phone number not accessible from abroad, no chat, no form, no email. Overcharges on anything. Threats for legal action and penalties two days after payment date. That is the sort of company that should not exist.
I paid 12 Euros ,10 for the SIM and 2 for my first month in France.Well, the SIM would not activate, despite me trying all I knew. So,we took a 45 minute ride to the Free shop in Brive. I explained everything to the guy, who then repeated every action I had already done.He could not re- imburse me ( as I did not have my passport) and then invited me to phone their help line!!!!WHY COULDN'T HE DO IT???? I'm in the Free shop, with a Free SIM, with a Free problem and this fella is a blank!!Absolutely useless, I have written off the 12 E, and will advertise the hopelessness of this company at any opportunity I get . Definitely ," Not Free".
Careful! They say they have international data, but when I tried to use them in Macedonia, they charged me 60 euros saying that I was actually in Albania (which is crazy, because not only do I have proof that I bought an Albanian SIM card to avoid this problem, but I also have proof of a bus ticket--and a text message from my Albanian service--that shows I was already in Macedonia at the time Free charged me). Then, I tried to contact customer service. Shocker! There's no way to contact them when you're abroad. And then, when you try to discuss the problem via phone, they say you have to send a LETTER (like what the actual, in 2025?) to discuss your issue. So then, you spend more of your money to send them snail mail, just to have them write back that you should go screw yourself because they're keeping your freaking money. And don't even try discussing the problem with someone in person--the people at their storefronts are just there to sell you stuff and will also hit you with the "just send a letter" spiel.Lovely service. NOT!
