This warranty has absolutely NOTHING in any way to do with the AA. The AA has outsourced their warranty insurance cover to an Organisation in Yorkshire. It's an insurance policy you buy, and not a warranty guarantee. Therefore all claims are subject to a great deal of scrutiny with the objective of refusing to pay out for your claim if possible. Mine cost me £250 for 12 months and I am dreading anything being wrong and having to claim. Had I been made aware that the AA were not associated with this scheme, I would not have bought the warranty. I have e-mailed the AA Chief executive asking for his observations. You can look up the Motorways direct on the companies checker on the internet and can see some very interesting facts about them.

Disappointment is an understatement. Here I am, outside the HP (Harry Potter store) dressed in a full gown, willy in hand showing off my wand- doing my best patronus charm, children crying at the sight that this isn't a harry potter store but a store full of cumguzzlers
I have one year cover with AA , I have a problem with cruise control, I asked AA where to go the get the car fixed. They gave me the address of one of their recommended mechanics , I went there had the car diagnosed paid £55 , 4 weeks passed nobody contacted to let me know if AA will cover for the repairs , I sent an email explaining the situation, the answer they I got was that the mechanic where I went to was not recommend by AA. I'm just waiting for 6 weeks to pass then I will write to ombudsman.

I'd really like to see the statistics on how many claims they pay out for. Doesn't seem as though anything is covered. Avoid... complete waste of money. You'll end up paying for this and ALL repairs. There's a reason car dealers are commissioned on selling these warranties and it's not because the customer wins.

I, as an MOT Garage, was sold membership of this scheme. It is very unlike me to be taken in by these things as I find word of mouth works best. It was called MOT Protect and claims to be part of the AA. I cannot comment on what the insurance is like for the car owner but as a Garage, stay well clear. Basically I never heard a single thing from them after I'd signed and paid and it's a one-off fee. I also never received a single enquiry from it. My guess is that the scheme folded or else it was a pure scam from the start. So if you see MOT PROTECT, beware.
